I love that you know what you’re doing I only have one suggestion and that’s put the camera closer to the screen so everybody can see what you’re doing so they can learn to follow along with you. You are a good teacher a lot better than what I’ve seen on here so keep doing your thing brother just put the camera Lil closest so we can learn a long as you teach. Great job. Ave I agree that simply getting a midi keyboard is not the exact same thing because as you mentioned the touch strip and performance(ram and optimization) of the keys. However, a midi keyboard and iPad (if you already have one ) running Scaler is pretty damn good and at that point you really have to make sure you’re finding true value in buying the keys
It's not the "exact" same thing but yea, same general idea. This is more like an ASR-10 type of vibe in my mind. Keyboard sampler/sequencer workstation. I use the MPC ONE along with multiple hardware synthesizers. I can use the keys like a MIDI keyboard, while at the same time having the ability to create my own sounds and samples with the synthesizers. I do wish I had MORE MIDI ins/outs however (I think the MPC X may have more) but I make do by running everything into my 8 track and sampling/resampling my own instruments.
Im on the fence with buying this. I have yet to see anyone sample, for example, say 1 or 2 seconds of a piano or bass from a record. And then assign it to the keys, rather than the pads. So you can have the full range of notes/semitones from the record sample. Not from the sound kits that are included. Do you know if this is possible on this machine?
@JOneThrii I finally coughed up the $ & copped 1. ❤️ this option, spreading a 1-2 sec sample across all the keys. Manipulation glory! So DOPE!!! I just had to figure out the sample, has to be originally in a "Pure Note" to assign it to the root note, so its across the keys correctly, so Melody's can be played harmonically correctly as well. Took me a sec to figure it out, but MAAAAN....this MPC is INSAAAANE!!! Last MPC I was on was the 2000, from 2001-2009..then started laboriously making beats on Protools 2010-2023. This hybrid shit ain't no joke! MPC Key 61! The GAME has changed SEVERELY!!!

Peace fam. As you audition/play sample chops from the pads, you can see on the screen that the software highlights the chop selected from the pad. If using the keys instead to audition/play sample chops...does the software follow the midi from the keys also or only from the pads?

If you need close ups. I personally recommend my courses. It’s far to difficult to do it during a live stream.
