I saw the link on Greece v. Germany. I am not convinced though a lot of the information is ambiguous. it doesn't say what fighter jets or Tanks each are using. While the link shows Greece has an advantage in fighting vehicles, Germany spends much more on military and has a much greater ability to replenish losses due to prolonged conflict with it's superior manpower and industry. Would be interesting theory crafting though.

Even as pro USA as I am I do think the US could not win a war against the world without at least beating Mexico and Canada into submission to where they end up part of our military force. Then we could potentially hold off the rest of the world and mount an offensive.
Besides invading Canada and Mexico, the US should also invade the island nations near it like Cuba. Taking the islands will mean the US will be able to have navy bases to defend itself and attack Transport Ships. The biggest disadvantage the US has in terms of its small army size. It would need to massive increase it if it wants to have a homeguard and invade into the Central and South American Nations. After that, I can't see what else the US can do except sign a peace treaty. Once the US controls all the Americas, it can deny all Foreign nations the ability to mount an invasion. On the flip side, the US can't really invade other nations beyond that as it would likely be fighting partisans in newly conquered territory, and would need a large force in the land to keep the peace. The US Airforce and Navy are very strong, and if the US needs to, it can bring the Iowa class Battleships back from retirement and used to defend the coast. The only one who could launch an attack into the US would be Russia into Alaska, but that attack seems like a non-starter. In terms of population size, the US has the third largest population, so it can replace its loses for some time. Finally, the US would have to deal with the fact that it imports $300 billion dollars worth of oil and would have to ration it to support its army. It pretty much comes down to 1. How much could the US lose in military loses before it catches up to them? 2. How large can it build its army before it hurts its industry by taking people away from much needed jobs at home. 3. How long can the US last on its domestic oil and its reserves? 4. How long would the US take to invade all of the Americas before a massive invasion is launched, and how long would it take for the World to build up such a force? 5. Will it be possible to defend the land it captures or would the US' military be too divided to defend or even launch more invasions?
The US's strongest strength is if you stuck all the Navies in the entire world they would still lose. The US would need to prevent a ground war at all cost which is why they would need to take over and fortify Mexico, and Canada. The world would be stuck building up the forces necessary to conduct an offensive against a nation that has the most technologically advanced military, and the most heavily armed civilian population in the world. The US wouldn't even need to produce small arms necessary to arm every man woman and child. So on home turf the US would be a nasty place to invade for anyone if they could even get to our shores in the first place. Ultimately though 300 million people versus 6.7 billion would allow the world to win out in the long run. Without the nuclear option the US just wouldn't be able to hold off everyone at once without conquering and combining forces with their defeated foes and even that would be insane to accomplish. Occupations take years if not decades and with a insurgency getting support from everyone else there just would be no way.
It would more or less come down to a fight of who's economy can sustain the massive trade losses from the US going solo. On one hand the US can produce most of its need by itself , on the other we do mass amounts of exporting (a lot of weapons btw) which would play a huge role in global economics. Making a land invasion on US soil would be damn near impossible short of a massive tactical nuclear strike along one of our coast lines or borders, which would in turn result in a retaliatory nuclear strike on any forces that do land. Quite honestly if the world decided to fight the US they would be hard pressed to win simply due to the inability to gather ground forces large enough to invade the land and survive initial touch down.

Add to that that Europe is decentralized and filled with ethnic divisions and mistrust, and cooperation in a prolonged military engagement is questionable. Europe gets much of its hardware from America and has limited to know force projection in a fight that would span continents. Their navies are small, and America has a 5 to 1 lead in carriers and a significantly larger navy. Finally, the fact you are dealing with multiple national militaries means that much of Europe's military resources are wasted on redundant units. This means that the money and resources America spends on its military actually goes much further in producing military capacity than it does on Europe. The European Military focuses on continental defense and could probably inflict significant casualties on an invading American force, however they wouldn't be able to invade America, operate on the ocean's or coordinate defense of individual countries. The result would be that Europe could only hope for a draw, and probably would be ultimately defeated while inflicting heavy casualties invading Americans.

I saw the link on Greece v. Germany. I am not convinced though a lot of the information is ambiguous. it doesn't say what fighter jets or Tanks each are using. While the link shows Greece has an advantage in fighting vehicles, Germany spends much more on military and has a much greater ability to replenish losses due to prolonged conflict with it's superior manpower and industry.

Even as pro USA as I am I do think the US could not win a war against the world without at least beating Mexico and Canada into submission to where they end up part of our military force.
Then we could potentially hold off the rest of the world and mount an offensive.
Besides invading Canada and Mexico, the US should also invade the island nations near it like Cuba. Taking the islands will mean the US will be able to have navy bases to defend itself and attack Transport Ships. The biggest disadvantage the US has in terms of its small army size. It would need to massive increase it if it wants to have a homeguard and invade into the Central and South American Nations. After that, I can't see what else the US can do except sign a peace treaty. Once the US controls all the Americas, it can deny all Foreign nations the ability to mount an invasion. On the flip side, the US can't really invade other nations beyond that as it would likely be fighting partisans in newly conquered territory, and would need a large force in the land to keep the peace. The US Airforce and Navy are very strong, and if the US needs to, it can bring the Iowa class Battleships back from retirement and used to defend the coast. The only one who could launch an attack into the US would be Russia into Alaska, but that attack seems like a non-starter. In terms of population size, the US has the third largest population, so it can replace its loses for some time. Finally, the US would have to deal with the fact that it imports $300 billion dollars worth of oil and would have to ration it to support its army. It pretty much comes down to 1. How much could the US lose in military loses before it catches up to them? 2. How large can it build its army before it hurts its industry by taking people away from much needed jobs at home. 3. How long can the US last on its domestic oil and its reserves? 4. How long would the US take to invade all of the Americas before a massive invasion is launched, and how long would it take for the World to build up such a force? 5. Will it be possible to defend the land it captures or would the US' military be too divided to defend or even launch more invasions?
The US's strongest strength is if you stuck all the Navies in the entire world they would still lose. The US would need to prevent a ground war at all cost which is why they would need to take over and fortify Mexico, and Canada.
The world would be stuck building up the forces necessary to conduct an offensive against a nation that has the most technologically advanced military, and the most heavily armed civilian population in the world. The US wouldn't even need to produce small arms necessary to arm every man woman and child.
So on home turf the US would be a nasty place to invade for anyone if they could even get to our shores in the first place.
Ultimately though 300 million people versus 6.7 billion would allow the world to win out in the long run. Without the nuclear option the US just wouldn't be able to hold off everyone at once without conquering and combining forces with their defeated foes and even that would be insane to accomplish.
Occupations take years if not decades and with a insurgency getting support from everyone else there just would be no way.
It would more or less come down to a fight of who's economy can sustain the massive trade losses from the US going solo. On one hand the US can produce most of its need by itself , on the other we do mass amounts of exporting (a lot of weapons btw) which would play a huge role in global economics. Making a land invasion on US soil would be damn near impossible short of a massive tactical nuclear strike along one of our coast lines or borders, which would in turn result in a retaliatory nuclear strike on any forces that do land. Quite honestly if the world decided to fight the US they would be hard pressed to win simply due to the inability to gather ground forces large enough to invade the land and survive initial touch down.

Unlikely. The American military is more powerful than the European countries combined. Add to that that Europe is decentralized and filled with ethnic divisions and mistrust, and cooperation in a prolonged military engagement is questionable. Europe gets much of its hardware from America and has limited to know force projection in a fight that would span continents. Their navies are small, and America has a 5 to 1 lead in carriers and a significantly larger navy. Finally, the fact you are dealing with multiple national militaries means that much of Europe's military resources are wasted on redundant units. This means that the money and resources America spends on its military actually goes much further in producing military capacity than it does on Europe.
The European Military focuses on continental defense and could probably inflict significant casualties on an invading American force, however they wouldn't be able to invade America, operate on the ocean's or coordinate defense of individual countries. The result would be that Europe could only hope for a draw, and probably would be ultimately defeated while inflicting heavy casualties invading Americans.
