Angelina is just 13. She's following the Jackie Evancho playbook in that her voice is maturing and she is testing it in different genres to see what she can do! Angelina and all these other fantastic young female singers should experiment with their voices. And follow their hearts and sing what they love! They don't need countless people telling them what they should sing. Just sit back and enjoy!

She calms, relaxes, relieves stress and tension as no medicine can. But, I think you hit on it that she is smarter than all of us. Performing this wide selection of music is -easily- within her capability, she enjoys it, and at her age she has time to cover a lot of ground ! ! ! But I think her 'roots' are in 'Gloomy Sunday', etc. and she will not abandon that. The one that stole my heart was, " I who have nothing " in the one - man studio when she was still six or seven ? My mind is still trying to 'wrap itself around' Angelina . . . . she is astounding !
I prefer her deep chest voice, but I think she is improving her control of her head voice singing these pop songs. I think at her age, it is good that she sings a lot of different tunes and experiment with her voice, but I do indeed hope that she doesn't go the pop diva way when growing up. She has a very beautiful voice which is very good for blues, jazz and soul genres.
I fear that people around her, who may not know much about jazz, are putting preassure on her now, to become some kind of pop singer. Hopefully she is able to withstand that, and get back to cooperating with real jazz musicians. Then she might even reinvigorate the genre.

You are finally getting it. She is making her covers her own. Angelina’s forte is not pop but because of her age she has to experiment. It’s probably hard to come up singing in the same time frame as Daneliya and Angelica H. She needs to release these kind of songs to prove she can hang with Daneliaya, Angelica, Yaraslova, and little Celine, and she does. But you can tell that her heart is in the big band styles of bluesy progressive sound. This song featured more technique than soulful emotion the emotion was there but out of balance. I think that’s what you heard. Anyway kudos to her for expanding and kudos to you for your reaction
I've heard that Angelina has been working with a vocal coach. And, have read that she fell in love with the Whitney Houston song, "I Will Always Love You," at a very young age. So, I'm happy to see what Angelina is trying to accomplish here. And if anyone can pull it off, she can. I've also listened to Angelica Hale's version of this song, and in my opinion, Angelina has a more diva-quality in maturity, texture, and richness. I agree with you that the pop songs are not her strongest suite..and she does bring her own interpretation to just about everything she sings. The range of this song is very broad and does not showcase her lower voice range like the other jazz songs. I do like her rendition of "Nothing Breaks like a Heart"...she has a cadence and range that is much more likable than Miley's rather cheeky performance. And like you I would like to hear more of the jazz classics...she performs her songs in such a subtle and smoky voice that entangles you in emotion like no other. Example: A Natural Woman...just a simple in your face performance that seems like she is singing just to you, the listener...of course, just about all her songs have this effect... Her phrasing, the tone of her voice evoke the emotion she requires and communicates to the listener. And listen to the "silences" in the song. They are just the right length to strengthen the emotions. She invariably has me in tears and, even at the age of 88, I'm prepared to accept them as part of the intense pleasure of watching and listening to her. .

Agree that jazz is her natural element. But I think she (and possibly people she works with) wants to showcase the full capabilities of her voice. And boy, does this ever! The first few lines show her wonderful delivery, command of the subtleties - and then she opens up. Have you listened to her 13 year-old version of Fly Me to the Moon? Her voice is more liquid, rounder on every note than various early versions. I think part of her breathy-ness when younger was due to being the only way she could handle the low notes. No you are wrong. Angelinas voice is still as low. When she isnt diddling around on utube with these pop songs and is in concert singing jazz songs she brings all her low notes and rasp out. She has a huge range and has always been able to make her voice sound any way she wants. You are right about the tempo tho, she scribbles out arrangements on bits of note paper and hands them out to her bands to show them how she wants them to play, she has done that since she was 8. There is a very interesting video of her at 9 years old with her band jamming and writing a song and she is experimenting and instructing the band when to change key. She has been singing jazz since she was 18 months old so it wouldnt be correct to call her a freak. Her grandmother started her off
