Some of the videos that you said were cops in the wrong or you left the impression that they were leads to people getting angry for no reason. The one with the little boy is a prime example. I have seen this entire video before. The young man's father was being arrested for outstanding warrants. The father was going peacefully; as he should. The boy became upset. One of the women didn't help by acting out herself. The boy run at the officer and was stopped. The boy run at the officer a second time hitting the officer. The officer took the boy to the ground. Handcuffed him. The officer had to order the women back multiple times. In all this the officer kept talking to the boy. When the boy calmed down the officer explain how he should not act the way he was. He asked the boy if he was calm and removed the handcuffs. The boy was allowed to talk with his Father. Yes they were both upset. It was important for the boy to learn that attacking and officer is the wrong way to do things. Just because your upset doesn't mean you can attack someone. This lesson may save him in the future to make the right decisions.
I completely agree with this, the officer was trying to get the boy under control because he was attacking the officer. There were many other ways for the officer to handle the situation at hand and the officer handled it amazingly and the boy was allowed to talk to his dad before he was taken away to jail.
Thank you for saying this, he followed protocol and followed his training. If police are going to be assualted they're trained to pin them and put handcuffs on them to lower the risk of someone getting hurt

Seeing black people standing up to or yelling at police officers is scary because, with so much police brutality and racist cops, it could escalate so drastically. I support them in standing up for themselves when necessary, but since we've seen how some cops don't even see a problem in killing a black man without probable cause, it's incredibly worrisome. The poor man who had a gun pulled on him for no reason- I can't imagine what he must've felt in that moment, and his yelling at the cop was more than justified. I'm just glad that the cop listened instead of resorting to violence, and hopefully learned something. My white/white-passing friends and I shouldn't have to walk in certain places to keep our poc friends on the inside of the group when we're walking around at night. They shouldn't have to be scared when a cop looks at them, even if the cop doesn't show any signs of aggression- they've been conditioned by the horrors of the world to be scared. People think that bc of my political views I must hate cops, when in actuality, I do support the police. But the second that one of them shows signs of wanting to abuse their power, they should be kicked out immediately. Also, I remember seeing the full video of the man whose dog was killed and I cried so hard- as someone who works to save the lives of animals and has seen some gnarly stuff, hearing that was one of the worst. That cop better have been fired, and I hope the man sued. The dog was doing what they naturally do- protect the home, and the cop didn't even have a warrant, so he had literally no legal right to do that.
