Not exactly sure why this video popped up on my feed, but I just had to comment because of the extremely well thought out review. People always want to talk about the product directly. That's great and all, but very few of them talk about what it represents in your life the way that you do, which is really kind of what people want to know deep down about something that they might be considering purchasing. I wish more people would do that instead of focusing on this specifications or the price compared to the nearest competition or all of that standard stuff. Again, all of that stuff is great, but without the perspective of what it means to you, it doesn't really tell you whether or not you will like it. I think that's what a review should really do, and that's what you have done. I liked it so much that I'm going to subscribe! 😬👍💯🏆
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words, Patrick! That means a lot to hear :) I've always felt the same way about product reviews and really wanted to try speaking from a different perspective here. So glad it resonated with you! Thanks again!!
Before this video, I didn’t understand why I need a "tech pouch" because my "normal pouch" works fine for my tech stuff. After this video, as thoughtfully designed as this is, I still don’t think I need something like this, but I JUST. WANT. ONE. I skipped this brand because I’m not a fan of their logo patch on other bags, but they should be paying you for this. Also your calm and detailed delivery, AND the video production is really enjoyable too. Thanks for this video.
Love the review. I love your enthusiasm, even though you’re not affiliated and get no commission. I don’t love the fact that it is sold out. I guess that’s what they make bookmarks in your browser for.
Thanks so much! The CAP1 looks awesome and I'd love to try one out soon. Seems like a great fit for slimmer pockets or messenger style bags. Thanks again, Mark!
I keep being so satisfied with how well this thing is designed. You nailed it. The ability to access that "lid" from opposite sides for smaller items is so clever as well.
Yes!! It's so fun to use a product that feels satisfying every time you interact with it. Totally agree, the quick access zipper is fantastic. Thanks for watching, James!
Exactly what I’ve been looking for to carry my smaller camera and easily move it from bag to bag! Thanks for sharing, I’m excited about the design as well 🤩
Yes!! It's so versatile; you can use it as a camera insert for a small camera one day, and use it for your chargers, batteries, and tech the next day. So many good use cases! Thanks for watching!!
I'm really glad to have found this video, I love seeing your enthusiasm and passion about these functional and aesthetic little things that make our lives better. And I really recognize myself in your way of looking at this pouch and seeing your other tools and gadgets. You are a really pleasant guy and your videos are the perfect mix between interesting and calm. I'd love to see more Videos like this, I liked and followed with a big smile ;)
Thank you so much for saying that! I'm so glad you resonated with it and feel the same way about these types of things. I've got a whole queue of videos like this that I'd love to make, and will hopefully be sharing soon. Thanks again!! :)
Fantastic review of the CAP2. I have three in the rotation-tech, camera, and toiletries for work travel. I share the same feelings about the design-it's perfect. Do you have a CAP1? If not, I highly recommend picking one up. And don't let the size fool you.
Thank you so much! That sounds like an awesome setup you’ve got there. I don’t have a CAP1, but I’ve heard great things about it. How do you generally use yours? I’d love to get a sense of what it’s best suited for!
I've seen plenty of reviews about the CAP 2, but yours is without a doubt the best. Specs are great and all, but hearing you describe the emotional response an organizational pouch elicited in you, that's what sold me. Good product design is functional art and I really wish more companies kept that in mind when designing their products.
Wow, thank you so much! That’s so kind of you to say, and I really appreciate it. I love the way you described good design as functional art; that’s spot-on, and I think it’s why I can’t help but speak emotionally about it. Really glad you connected with this, my friend. Thanks so much for watching, and for the kind words :)
this new font you're using is absolute money! also i literally gasped when you unzipped that top exterior zipper... double sided access to that pouch?!
Hi Craig, thank you so much for watching! So glad you liked the video. I forgot to add a link to the pouch but it’s in the description now. Sorry to make you dig for that info!
Aside from the film making and the videography things that the team in Rally Caps do, its great to see that your passions come alive which makes you guys stand out from the rest of the content makers. A great way of using your already honed skills to share to the world 👌 Congrats on 100 podcast episodes!
Thank you for the review, I feel your excitement for the bag. It always makes you feel good when you find something that’s works well for you. I love finding something that makes you go wow the designer was amazing. Cheers Vancouver Island Canada.
Great video, and I love the thought they've put into creating something that's actually useful both in transit but also during work. I wonder if there's a way to utilize the slope created in the open position as a laptop stand
Thanks so much! Totally agree, there was clearly so much thought put into this little pouch. Even though it has a good bit of rigidity in the open position, I don't think it would be enough to hold a laptop comfortably. That's a cool idea though!
@@StevenSchultz I love them, use them all the time! Was actually planning to do a video on all 3 of them! Currently have my .5 as a lens/camera repair kit and the 1 liter comes with me everywhere along with one of my 2 liters!
I do have genuine leather bags from other brands kislux I get what I want without paying exorbitant designer prices. That's the point. It's not about the superficial, it's about getting what you like at a price you like.
Hi Keegan! Thanks for asking! I bought it on Amazon; it's an 18" x 24" cutting mat from U.S. Art Supply. I'll add a link to the description if I can find it. Thanks for watching!
75$ is more than double what this should cost. It’s unbelievable how much they’re charging for stuff like this. It’s almost offensive that something that should make working easier and more affordable is costing that absurd amount of money. This is not just a thing with this specific brand, but it’s a problem concerning the whole industry. Really a shame
While I do find the design great, and the review well done, i need to point out that it is not a new design per se. On top of my head I can think of a last year kickstarter project, the "Alex S1 minimalist sling bag", and the Japanese Hiraku nano Pc bag, and there are probably more designs that share a similar concept. I say this not to put down the designers at Evergood, but to say that one needs to be careful with categorically stating that something is new and innovative in todays age.
I totally hear you, and I appreciate you saying this! For what it's worth, this Evergoods pouch was released 4 years ago and predates that Kickstarter you mentioned. I hadn't found anything exactly like this Evergoods design in my research beforehand, but if you could share a link to the Hiraku Nano PC, I'd love to check it out! Thanks for watching!
Wow I love this. Using good design principles to create a product that is (evidently) steeped in Japanese design history is so 🤌🏻 I loooove products that are well-considered
You missed out another big advantage: stability. So if you're travelling on a plane or boat or bus, this opened pack will not fall over. Then that leads to another thing you touch upon - the subconscious feeling of re-assuance or pleasure in using a well designed object. In this case, even if you are at home or in a hotel using this, the fact that it is stable feels good, even though those places do not roll around. Also, you can't accidentally knock it over, plus maybe your cat can't knock it over. Our subconscious is calculating all this stuff in the background, even if we aren't!
YES!!! Oh my gosh, I wish I had highlighted this point more. You're exactly right. The structure and shape of it provides so much security, which in turn allows you to use it more confidently in more places. Spot-on, my friend!! Thanks for pointing this out, it's such an important part of the bag; especially because my cat has absolutely tried to knock it over before, and has not succeeded, haha! Thanks so much for watching!!
Haha yeah, other commenters have pointed this out, too! I had never seen any other designs similar to this one. Do you have any specific Japanese pencil bag recommendations? I’d love to take a look!
You actually could attach a strap to the top of the bag, if you really wanted to! I haven't done it myself, but there are two short pieces of webbing on either side of the top handle that could probably accommodate a strap of some kind, if you wanted to wear it like a crossbody.

Thanks so much! The CAP1 looks awesome and I'd love to try one out soon. Seems like a great fit for slimmer pockets or messenger style bags. Thanks again, Mark!

Try the cap1, it takes up less room yet holds surprisingly lots… it’s my favourite pouch of all time.
That’s awesome, I’ll definitely check it out! Big fan of Evergoods and the philosophy behind their products. Thanks for watching!

This is a very creative way of demonstrating how well-designed the pouch is. Well done. Also, you have a great "radio voice" - congratulations!
Thank you so much, Ricardo! I really appreciate you saying that 😊
Such a nice review!!! Appreciate it, you made me convinced to buy another CAP2
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it! :)

The goat. What a pouch as well
HAHA my guy! Had a blast chatting about all of this with you when you were in town. Appreciate you dude! :)
Terrific video and a great bag. Want. I did not hear it in the vid so I searched it out - $75. Could only find it on the Evergoods site.

I think Steven has officially found his bread & butter.
Time to start cooking 👀👀

Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
so visually satisfying
I could say the same about you
Unrelated question… Where did you get your desk pad?

Will they be making more of the blue? That's my color.
I hope so, their dark blue is so good! They have a bright blue ecopak version on the site right now.

I think I’d need a MUCH bigger version to declutter my life 😂
Hahaha! 😂
No loops to attach a shoulder strap to turn it into a sling.
That could be an interesting addition!
Yet no link to the pouch?
Totally my bad! Just added it to the description, thanks for mentioning that 👍

they copied this design from the japanese :) that had it for years :)
Oh wow, I had no idea! Are there any specific Japanese brands you’d recommend? I’d love to try one out!
Links would be great!
Utlim sonic storage box
Hiraku nano pc bag
Alexis s1 sling camera bag (kickstarter)
Awesome, thank you for sharing!
Awesome! Copying is great
I wonder if this would work well for concealed carry
Potentially! It’s a 2L pouch and the dimensions are 9.5” x 3.5” x 5.75”. Thanks for watching!
What size is the notebook that you can fit in there
It’s a hardcover A6 notebook from Leuchtturm1917!
Would an A5 fit ?
I haven't tried personally, but based on the dimensions I could find of the pouch and an A5 notebook, I believe the pouch is just a bit too small.
❤

Great video, you sold me! but they are sold out! I guess you sold a lot of people.
Thanks so much! Bummer to see that most colors are sold out. It looks like the coyote brown color is still in stock, though!!
@@StevenSchultz Ack! the last color I want... buy or wait, so hard.
Why am I watching this I own two of these lol

That would have been great! Maybe they’ll eventually launch a larger version with the same overall design. Thanks for watching!
A men's handbag that you can't attach to your body like the belt or cross-body is a tough no-go
You actually could attach a strap to the top of the bag, if you really wanted to! I haven't done it myself, but there are two short pieces of webbing on either side of the top handle that could probably accommodate a strap of some kind, if you wanted to wear it like a crossbody.
Bellroy one better
I’ve had a few of the Bellroy pouches! Which one are you referring to?
This video was 10 minutes too long
😂😂😂
