I test rode one the other day, immediately put my deposit down when I got back to the dealership. I've been riding 10 years and this is easily the best bike I've ridden. The R7 is such an approachable bike and is everything you want it to be. If you're a beginner it will look after you, if you're a little more advanced it will be amazing fun
I’ve been interested bc i used to ride bigger bikes and i rode an mt07 and loved just how fun it actually was. Riding was effortless and less serious. Lowkey want one of these
I think Yamaha R7 is better bike in middle range sport bikes, reliability,Good quality built, strong and worth for money than another brand from european
its honestly for the best as an american im kinda in a weird spot where 300ccs cost too much new to start on n used market is shit so its like whats the point when i could just buy something faster to grow into
I’ve been wanting an r6 for a year or 2 now but after research, and just coming across the knowledge I’m thinking the r7 is what I really want. Like you said it’s not keeping up with the others but it’s still faster than the common car and 400s and below. My Mazda 3 only goes up to 140 on the dash but limited to 115. Nice bike btw
I agree with you on the just trusting yourself. Even though this was my first ever motorcycle, I had not one worry in my mind when I got on it. And yes safety on the road is a huge priority

As a 45year rider here with five bikes in my herd I commend you on a job well done. And I do agree with you... It is TERRIBLE advice to tell someone to start on small bikes. Minimum 600 in my mind. I want the power to be able to get out of the way when the bad drivers come at me. As for the one foot down... It SHOULD be that way. In many countries you will fail your test putting both feet down. Everyone should learn to stop with left foot down and right foot on the brake. Just respect the ride, respect the road, and control your wrist. Great advice, well delivered, articulate, and respectful. Keep up the good work young man. Well done.
When I was going to buy it, the dealership was trying to talk me out of getting the r7. This bike is absolutely perfect for its torque and top speed for everyday use. I’ve gotten out of bad situations on the road in the snap of a finger with this bike. I appreciate you and your kind words my friend. Ride safe out there brother 🤙
Looking at getting a bike this year once im 16 have good amount of time on quads and a bit of time on a dirt bike like 3/4 hours i stand 6,1 and thining about getting a r3 or a r7 la model as i live in a country were u are cc restricted when on your learns and restricted licence so do u think the r7 would make a good second bike or even a good first bike for track
Oh yeah man the r7 would forsure be a great second bike if you have to start on something smaller for your first bike. The r7 is basically designed to be a track bike. Since your a giant, you should have no trouble on the r7
I have crippling anxiety and have 0 clutch experience. I’m 6’0 about 180lb so the bike fits kinda perfect. I will say it’s a bit of a stretch saying it’s for beginners. There’s a lot of torque and the bike doesn’t seem to like low speeds . I’m also probably just messing up
Since suzuki doesn't seem to want to bring back the SV650S, this is the closest we're getting it seems. Just gonna have to wait and see if Honda ends up slapping a set of clip-ons on the Hornet now. More mid-weight sportbikes please, Japan!
hey man im about to turn 17 and im looking at getting a bike and the r7 looks sexy as hell, i just dont know fully about how i should go about my permit.
just kinda search “(state) motorcycle licensing” most require you to have a valid car license and proof of graduation from an MSF course in the last year, fairly straightforward:)

The best option I found was Harley Davidson insurance. It only runs me $167. Geico was asking like 540 dollars every month. And Progressive was asking basically the same price
When I first got the bike, I really considered getting one. But I’ve definitely gotten the feel for the bike and I’m super comfortable using one foot 99% of the time.
"Speed wobbles" shouldn't really happen on the r7, could be some suspension issue or you could be gripping way too tight with your hands. I did tank grips on my mt09 and makes it eay easier to really trust holding on with your legs.
Yeah, I try not to grip too hard but that’s a bad habit I’m working on. I also should’ve mentioned a lot of the roads where I live are kind of garbage and that can also be another reason why the bars wobble
I can understand that, but a lot of beginners might want that sport bike look/feel. Plus this one isn’t crazy aggressive compared to some 1000s and 600s
I am 5 foot 5 inch i will never flat foot anything. Doesn't stop me from riding my Sv650. I will tippy toe that bike all day long while my 6 foot 3 inch brother in law laughs at me at every stop. I laugh at him for being so tall and riding a z400, he is to tall for that bike.😂
Same, once on each side. Frame sliders saved most of the damage. Still hurts. But I put about 1000 miles on it since then no more drops and I think I know how to ride it now! You can do it.
I stated it was my opinion in the beginning of the video. It’s my first bike and I find it’s a very predictable bike if you can control your throttle hand.
@@Sevrides oh for sure. I was making a general statement more so than an argument against you. Everyone has different opinions. But I'm a firm believer in starting smaller.
