I have listened to a handful of videos by this lady before, but this is the first time I see her finally showing the power that she has in her voice. It's very exciting!
This song, this version....yep has done it again. Waking up with this, way to early and the mood is Good. It always picks me up, the lyrics, her voice, the music. The totalexperience is just Great! I haven't seen the episodes but the other singers were in aw(???) You can watch that with every song that Sharon does in this show! (Yes there are more, like Vandaag...Sharon singing in dutch) maybe one can also watch some Ilse de Lange (Higher) or K's Choice (No one knows...or Test of time) from the same show! Sharon does a fantastic job on this song. I don't know the original, but I'm sure it doesn't sound THIS good! She has such a warm tone to her voice, no matter what register she sings in. It looks like she was having fun singing it too, being a little playful when she sings "...I fake it". I like this a lot. I have seen it before, but I don't mind watching at again (twice haha!) She put out a solo album,My Indigo, a couple of years ago. Check it out,I think you would really like it. Within Temptation also put out an album of covers,which is outstanding,as in many cases ,they often outshine the originals,in my opinion.
The first time I heard this song I was overwhelmed bij the sound of Sharon and the band. In this song you can really hear what she can deliver with her voice. And like you I watched this vid several times after another. Another song of her in this program that also was in Temptation style was the song 'Turn your love around'. On another note: just funny, just interesting and just noticing it: most people who do reaction videos create a nice background, what have you got there man? Completely agree with you, i try to like the new album, but something is off for me. Such a long waiting time for that one and then it is the first album i'm not comply enjoy from them. Let's wait for the tour, maybe they convince me live. That worked already, i really got into WT after seeing them live for the first time. :-) Did you know, that she did a Kate Bush Cover? Running Up That Hill, you can find the official video here on YT. One of her most powerful performances in my opinion.
No this was the Belgium version of the program called "Liefde for muziek" from 2018. Ilse deLange was vocalist on last years version and wherever you like her music style or not she is also very good vocalist.

I say this because, I also feel that this new "electronic wave" overshadows the vocal and the other instruments. I think it's a waste of talent.
