Social selling and Shoppable content will be the way the next generation will make their purchases. As an Amazon 'influencer' in both US and AU marketplaces, I can see the power of video in converting consumers to sales. I also cannot wait until Whatnot finishes its beta here in Australia this year; I want to start live selling on Whatnot and giving that a try.
This is a wonderful and informative podcast. Great work to the team and Thank you for making the content very easy for everyone to understand and apply. I’m based in South Africa and this hasn’t picked up yet so thank you so much.
Great podcast. Always good to hear from Rafay. 2 things: 1. Any word if the Creator Rewards Program will also become available to Aussies? 2. When talking SIM cards were you talking e-sims or physical SIM cards? Wouldn’t e-sim with virtual us phone number be fastest way of getting around Tik Tok’s geo caching? Only costs a few dollars a month…I think!
Ps. Can you plan to get him on again when Tik Tok storefronts goes live in Australia? Would be interesting to hear who he thinks is doing well and why.
@JB53522 as a general reply , I'd say "good". We live in Cebu and Adelaide, so the quality we expect in Adelaide is different to Cebu. I would guess if tiktok shop is in Australia, then the items and quality would reflect our expectations. The thing that amazed me is how it's instant and that the product can be demonstrated live. Brings forward the capture of the sale and the certainty of customer satisfaction.
@ my channel is about freediving, so gear would be masks, snorkels, wetsuits, weight belts and fins. or dive computers, even medical devices like spirometers / oxymeters Any opportunity for that on tiktok shop?
Hey Gert - absolutely there is an opportunity for it. The link in the first comment would give you an opportunity to chat with Rafay - it’s a great way to find out more detail on if your product would be viable 😃
Do you have brands you are currently working with? It could be worth seeing if they are already on TikTok. Perhaps you don’t have any as of yet. Def worth looking at how to strategize getting them. You have a big following so I’m sure finding viable partners wouldn’t be too difficult. It would also be worth trying to get good rates for every new customer you bring in for them.
One small problem. Trump can ban Tic Tok in 30 sec flat. All other “western” vassal states will follow in 5 sec.😂 Building a business on Amazon controlled platform is tricky, building it on the CPC platform is insanity.

My wife has been buying products from the tiktok shop for a couple of years now. It's a very effective medium.
What the quality & price range of the products like?

@ thanks. So if you want a product you see live demo before purchase
@JB53522 that is one of the options, but usually, the business determines if they can support that type of sales method.
It's interesting how influencers are creating new opportunities in business just as it is to see how it evolves. Cheers.
Happy new year! 🎉
Sad how life has become all about ‘the algorithm’ especially for the young folk.
Yeah im seeing posts from others they’re‘engaging’ for six hours a day and still aren’t getting the views or follows. TikTok really planted that seed…
damn what a podcast
Thanks, we appreciate that!

@@UnemployableMedia just to avoid possible confusion: i dont have my own products, i would need to sell someone else's product.

What the main reason people use TikTok - memes, friends, learning, shopping? I see no benefit for it past the age of 10 yrs old

So where does this response come from? Just out the air? How did you come up with this rock solid comment?
