I swear to god, these celebrities, influencers and sports players are garbage.
They take their bag and fool the honest hard working people. As an elder, I always say, the potent way to get rich is that one has to go through things, learn and fail, and know that one has to pick up a few issues to resolve.
We as a society, should appreciate, engineers, carpenters, electricians and many more who move the cogs of our daily lives.
For those who disagree, ask any teenager, majority of them are going to say that they wanna become influencers, wanna get the easy buck. Being smart has been misinterpreted as cheating, side stepping and avoiding responsibilities.
Please read or watch videos on cognitive dissonance, parasocial relationshit(😏), near miss effect (for gambling). You will know what I mean.

Seeing celebrities not doing their due diligence before promoting anything is so sad and furious. They are so shallow and yet act like they put their fans above anything else. Thank you Mohak for making such an informative video, especially during the IPL season.
All of them just care about money and nothing else, and they pretend as if they do, if ISIS pays them enough money i won't be surprised to see the biggest names of bollywood and cricket doing their ads. They really have sold their souls.

We are just actors. How should we know." But this is not IIPM or Maggie, that they wouldn't know the intricacies. This has always been known that the house.... Always wins.
They know the practices are shady, you might have observed how most of them go on foreign trips a few days after the promotion, these are some of the tactics they deploy so that no transaction money enters India. They get to shop and stay in nice hotels while the people that follow them will loose their hard earned money in these bets
Why should celebrities do ANY due diligence? They've got the IQ of a potato and the only positive thing about them is their outer looks which will fade in a couple of years. We cant expect these dumb Bollywood kids to do any diligence for us.

It puzzled me to see so many Indian celebrities suddenly jump on the bandwagon of gambling and push this onto their unsuspecting audience, including me, especially when these apps are shady to begin with. Now I'm just pissed off that even so called "inspirational" celebrities like MS Dhoni, Ajay Devgn, and so many others are fooling their audience just to make a quick buck. The irony is that the audience still treats them like gods! This has to stop.

Ya Bro This was very important to be raised voice against because they are showing/broadcasting the advertisements so usually/casually with reknowned celebrities that many common people have started playing these ridiculous gambles which would at the end will result in crisis only. Even the Celebrities should understand not to give such ads. These ones and the Pan Masala Ads are the only ones which are broadcasted on the television mostly such things are getting promoted on a high scale so people are getting crazy behind these horrible games.

Good research. Only thing, I may not judge the "gamblers". For a spiritual person, materialism itself is nothing short of gambling! It's just that they don't have the power to fine or jail people, or maybe they don't care. I like the tone of guiding people to what one thinks is better for the mind/body/life. But as you pointed out, game of skill v chance is itself debatable. So, punitive approaches, especially by those operating in debatable areas, won't be taken seriously. Just like the govt selling cigarettes, with a disclaimer - not possible to take such authorities seriously! A kind friend is a better persona to tackle such subjectivity, in any measure, than a heavy-handed hypocrite.

TH-camrs are left-right promoting gambling websites.
Even Though the opposite parties ruling state governments trying to ban in their states by passing the bill but the Governor refuses to approve it. It happened multiple times in Tamilnadu.
Similarly when I travel for college I use Mumbai local train I see even the central railway is promoting such kind of apps on train , shady apps posters are posted on each coach of train ..

There is always a loophole - you can see casino in Goa even if there is casino banned in India but the law says you cannot play casino on any land of India so the casino company started their company in a cruise hence they won't be on Indian land.

Why a lot of Indians don't make a meaningful thread of comments which helps the viewers and adds quality to the discussion. Also, why a lot of Indian users use emojis, and copy pasted comments rather than writing a normal comments.

This is actually a matter of concern. My neighbour lost around 5 lakhs on these cricket betting apps. Now he is doing a small job to pay loans. He is given a nokia phone and no internet. This video is very important for youngsters like us, who graduated from school and will study in colleges because many students wants to help their family financially. They may get fooled by watching celebrities to promote such things and try their luck. Many times, such apps allowed them to win a small amount which trapped them.
I was shocked when even movies started showing this ads. Mostly their targets are 20-35 age group. Once while watching a TH-cam series about college life, there was an ad, in which they addressed the money problem for teenagers and showed these betting apps as the solution to gain some extra cash. Everywhere there are huge banners and famous actors are promoting it. TH-camrs and silver- screen actors are mostly promoting it and people who believe them are being influenced. These apps are everywhere. I think Government should take some action.

The thing is that since you are one of the few creators who make videos in Hindi, I share some really good videos with my parents, and when you digress in the first half for the ad, this makes them think that oh, he is just promoting something :(
Dream 11 my circle 11 etc should also come under gambling or betting act as it involves money in it . These apps are using indirect ways of betting by adding a fantasy game feature as primary source but the end goal here as well is winning or losing money . So how come it isnt a betting app? Gambling act related Laws should be studied and rectified again imo.
