    Thanks for the great idea Seon! My students just finished building this game (collaborative class project) as their second Arduino project. I didn't let them use your code (or even look at it until the end). It's crazy how dissimilar two programs could be that do the exact same thing!
    Cheers.

      Oh, wow, that's awesome! I bet their code is WAY better than mine! Hahaha

    Another great idea. Both simple and fun. I must say you have been churning out great content consistently for well over a year now. I think you deserve way more subscribers. Anyway, keep it up. I love your channel!

      Thanks dude! It's amazing how fun a simple mechanic game can be... 1 rule, 1 objective, all about reflexes!

    Nice idea Seon. I have a 60 pixel ring laying around since years which was supposed to become a clock. I never got around doing this. Maybe it’ll come to life with this game?

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh wow, with 60 pixels, you could add all sorts of cool stuff!!! Multiplayer? more enemies?

    • @Hasitier
      @Hasitier 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe. I’m no game developer but those ideas sound good. In multiplayer Mode the length of the „Player“ itself could become larger with every coin the 2nd player earns. So you get less and less time to react maybe.

    Such a cool game!!

      Cheers Steveo! I hope I kept is simple enough so lots of people actually build it and try it.

      @@UnexpectedMaker haha... that's the trick! I think I might just give it a go!

    Great game! Thanks for sharing. Looking at the ideas here in the comments, it could be a platform for multiple games... The one-button ATtiny13 Ladder game that I showed in one of my earlier videos is also good fun and would probably also play well on the pixel ring.

      Cheers, Maxint R&D. Yup, lots of possibilities :-)

    just ordered a 60 led ring for a clock, maybe a clock / games is now in the cards.

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I think I now need to get myself a 60 pixel ring and make a V2 of Pixel Chaser!

      It's gets hard really quickly, but you can change that in code ;)

    Sweet, been wondering how to make a "Pong" style game like this.

    • @UnexpectedMaker

      Well now you have no excuse! Grab my code and hack away!!! :D

  • @azyfloof
    @azyfloof 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh I liiiike! :D Imagine using a looong strip of LEDs for something like this :D It won't draw any more power in gameplay mode because only a few LEDs are lit at a time :)
    It reminds me of the 1D pong games I've seen implemented with LED strings!

    • @UnexpectedMaker
      @UnexpectedMaker  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Azy! Yeah, it works with any shape strip.. I tried it with a flexible strip in an 8 shape... was hard to see the twisted LEDs, but worked really well... was confusing too! Hahaha.

    I built this using a 16 pixel ring and I’m encountering some sort of bug where only a single green led is lit after a few cycles of the game or after a gameover.

    Hi I have a question, in our college we are doing this project but we don't have neopixels we have 50 Leds, we could do it with Leds and how we have to do the code?

    Hi,
    Im abou to try and adapt this for a 8x8 neopixel matrix. However i have a lot of troubles getting the sketch to compile.
    Whats the easiest way to code this game for a 8x8 matrix. Would appreciate your help. Thanks

      Sounds like your pixels are faulty.. maybe a short? have you checked them with a multi-meter?
