- Some of the culture shocks we’ve been experiencing since we moved back to America after 7 years in Europe. We lived in small town Germany and Italy for context. Thanks for watching!
This deserves part 2 and part 3! It would be indeed very interesting to learn how America has changed from your point of view.
Thank you! It’s so fascinating! Part 2 is up now 🥰
I'm fascinated with cultural differences between America and Europe, another video would be great!
It really is fascinating! Part 2 is now up :)
Yep! Headed that way too! The no dollar bills in D.C. is real😂 I’m coming from Italy too and big changes ahead. Thanks for sharing😊
Good luck on your new journey! Are you from the US originally? Where in Italy were you? Thanks for watching! 😊
Random US person: Hey, how are you?!?
Me, European: I'm ok, I... bla bla bla.
Random US person: Ok, ok, shut up, nobody care!
The cash thing depends on the part of Europe. In the North you also can’t pay everywhere with cash anymore. The south is a bit slower.
Just as with smoking, here in the Netherlands almost nobody smokes anymore, it isn’t aloud in cafes and restaurants (inside or outside) anymore. I was shocked by the heavy smokers in the South (Spain, France etc)
I just moved back after 30 years in Hong Kong ... I get what you're saying! It takes time.
Oh wow 30 years!! How are you liking being back in the US?
@@tikitube1 It's taken me awhile to stop freaking out. Haha. I knew reverse culture shock would be a thing, but I didn't know how it would hit. Eight months on and I'm involved in local activities and connecting with new friends and I'm seeing the fun side of things.
"I forgot to wash after self-tanning"
And you say that as if it is the most natural thing on the planet...
hahah the self tanners of the world get it 😂
