As long as the reward system is spin rate and velocity the arm injuries will continue.Throwing 98-99-100 mi. per hr, cannot be sustained over a period of time without injury.

They should have had him on the IL before the season started. It sucks to lose him, but shut him down and expect him to come back later than we'd prefer.

He was over throwing. Anyone could see that on the TV broadcast. Never would have gone out for the 2nd inning with the same approach if someone like George Bamberger was in the dugout. Velocity usually indicates a lack of perspicacity... Don't throw harder, throw smarter... We'll see come September.

I thought if any team was gonna give him a chance, it would be Cinci or Cleveland since he had success with those teams so the fans might be a little more forgiving. So don't even try to link O's with Bauer when those teams don't want him.
