I recall reading before that there was early work done for a multiplayer focused one called Triad Wars but nothing came of it and now that the company is gone even if we did get a new one who knows how it would turn out. At this point I'm just glad we have this atleast.
I don't know if anyone else noticed but I played the original, you seem to have all the legendary outfit effects, like slowing down for counter, higher damage, even some skills like slowing down time with guns randomly. I just bought the DE since it was on sale.

certain outfits have special abilites that i will list below: win chun master: this outfit has a special rapid punch combo that replaces the final heavy kick attack: how to preform it- xbox- X X X X X HOLD X for the muay thai outfit unlocked via the zodiac tornament there is 2 special attacks one that fully replaces the running jump kick into a flying knee and if you grabble and press the punch button or X on xbox wei will give a series of knees followed by a elbow strike MMA outfit the MMA outfit takes the leg and arm break to the next level by amking the animation change to arm and leg lock GSP outfit- the gsp outfit is a tribute to ufc fighter gerorges st-pierre and it unlocks a flying punch which is executable via holding down the charged kick button so just holding X (i will finish later)

This is going to be a weird suggestion but try the Condemned games. It is hardly a martial arts game, but it does have some nice gritty street fighting with crazed heroin addicts! What more could you want in a game right?

Karate style isn't really a thing. Let's break down Karate first of all. The striking is just plain dumb and stupid. It's not something that's effective. Then we're left with the kicks which can all be found in other things like Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Sanda. So there isn't a Karate style, but it doesn't matter because there's nothing unique about it that can be demonstrated. The Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Drunken Kung Fu style, MMA outfits all have something unique to them. If there was a Karate style, it would suck. It wouldn't look any different except for the ridiculous "punching".
