Now that the original Goldeneye team from Free Radical has restructured again, do you think they will do a remaster or remake of Goldeneye in the future?
@@Graslu00 I know, only three of them were from the original team but I understand that they were the thick part that made the important decisions, I had read somewhere that Nintendo had commissioned Free Radical to remake Goldeneye but as the developer went bankrupt and bought it Crytek, they had to entrust Eurocom with the development of the remake. On that is based my belief that there could be a new opportunity for Goldeneye.
Yes they were contacted to make a prototype of Dam, but then it was turned down by EA and eventually became GE Wii, to my knowledge. Free Radical had important developers of course but not all of them, noticeably for example Mark Edmonds or Martin Hollis. There's a remaster for GoldenEye in the works, it's basically complete but it was held back by the war at Ukraine. We may see something for this anniversary but hard to say, my contacts been silent. I found this custom mission very funny because of the part where you activate the radio and you hear the music "numa numa" hahahahaha, and that at the end against the leader, after a shootout, you end up killing him with your fists xd.
They're done from scratch, ZKA uses SketchUP to make the level geometry, Blender for vertex coloring, and then the map scripting and everything else related to the game is done on the GoldenEye Setup Editor.
