Really dope tracks and I’m just now finding this out!!! Let’s goooooo!!!!
I love how these guys produce a lot, however I was suspecting their DJing skills for some time. This set is just one example but it may indicate that such big producers are not employing high DJing skills. Generally, they have access to the best tracks produced and they have a good taste on what to play when. They pick great songs and patch them with little effort. Voila!
Just me or very basic mixing?
Not hating just curious
It is very basic. No hating.
Solardo are amazing bruh
Great set 👌🏾
Crazy dope sound
Nice job djs
These two get paid up to 20k for some club sets and even more for festival sets. If you can't use that type of money & lifestyle to dedicate some hours during the week to perfecting your craft then you are literally stealing a living. Ropey mixing on CDJ's at this level of DJ'ing is outrageous.
What do you mean by ropey mixing?
Fully agree, not a fan but thought id watch to see how well they mix. Disappointed to say the least. Especially knowing there is some top quality djs in the underground scene who dont even get a notice.
Santiago White Not much equing. The equing they did do was basic. Rough transitions on alot of the mixes. Just nothing special which they should be at that level.
Yeah I agree it is quite disappointing and somewhat discouraging. I find it's pretty common that the local and "underground" DJ's in my area are much better than the big acts that they warm up for. It's just that the big acts have a reputation from the production side of things and people come to see them without even knowing the difference between a producer and DJ
The thing to remember is they’re not paid all of that money because of their DJ’ing skills or in your view lack of but are paid the money because they attract crowds
muy bueno
Not the cleanest mixing around. Sort of what happens when people learn production before DJing.
And when they are constantly fucked
Glen Curtis omg yes
That track at 17:00 is MF FIRE!!!! I’m playing it over and over in a trance…yeah that right there is HOT! Darren Emerson-Dashcine Acid Tool.
Adverts spoil it
Who’s the second guy
posted in other videos but - I've watched a lot of these and the majority of DJS aren't fading with frequency and volume - just volume bumping it in /just using volume faders. Anyone know why this is majority of technique across every video?
NICEEEEEEE
So bad man where did all the real djs go
nice one guys
Good! Like.
Solardo are my favorite DJs for a while right now but they were very disappointing in my humble opinion when they played this set.
The first reason for disappointing me is that they mixed the tracks slowly (deep house style) and I think Tech house is a genre that is very repetitive and boring so it needs to be mixed in a faster way especially if you're having 4 Decks.
The second reason is that they need to prepare some cue points in each track they will mix in order to mix faster and in more proper way, They just put some tracks into their flash memory and mixed them into a boring way and also they made a couple of mistakes when they tried to mix one track into another one again and again (Cue points are very important).
there club DJs tho its not about the fast cuts and change in energy its about keeping the flow, some mixes were dodgy but hardly noticeable and cue points are pretty much useless n this genre, i would agree with some tech use such as fisher which is all about the snare rolls and drops fro the fast mixing but this ain't really that type of music
is that why you're a famous DJ?
Harry Ford maybe 🙄
Harvey Austin You have a point.
But this set would be much better if it’s mixed in a faster way
Harry Ford just putting it in terms of a someone who goes out to these type of events
That Solardo & Gene Farris ID is FLAMING....gonna guess it's called Creepin
its released!

Call it ‘Combine’
Ugh they r so cute
at least there’s no adds...
Lol
When it goes out of beat these guys are pushing it the wrong way alot. Also there using sync
nailed it using sync isnt a problem, but the rest yes I agree With you
Can tell they were producers
then djs
I use sync but only to set the speed to the same and then I turn it off. Basically instead of setting the speed with the tempo control. The reason because I see the BMP anyway, so just more time to gently play with the tempo control to set the speed to the same amount.
So I'll have time to play and try other tricks/features etc.
It's only matters when you don't know the bpm and you need to listen the difference between the tracks and playing with the jog wheel and the speed control to synchronise them by hearing.
But strictly I turn off the sync before I play the next track.
Mixing no good for that category
silver Pioneer CDJs... mmmmmm
