    I had this album and wore the grooves off it. We were all musicians and this guy stopped us in our tracks. Hell this tune has REAL STRINGS! Jan brought something to the table that will influence generations to come. Glad the youngsters can listen to how dynamic he is. A master of changing volume and attack to accent the colors of the song.

    i was walking in a mall in temple,texas in the late 70's when this came on over the speakers in the food court. i refused to move from my spot until i found out who and what this was. bless utube for allowing what i thought was lost music to be heard again.

    Two Detroit Stations used to play this during the day: 107.5 WGPR and 106 WJZZ which has been gone for about 14 years now (sadly).

      Yes in Indeed. My Father sent me some WJZZ stickers he found somewhere in Detroit. WJZZ was a staple in my home, and family members also. #pontiacmichigan

    A fabulous 5 star tune. Granada TV (UK) used this as late night continuity music, which is where I first heard it in the late 70s. It is one of the finest pieces of music to drive to, particularly in the rain... I love that fact that it hits the spot with people all over the world

    im probably the only 15 year old to ever search this song lol. I love it!!! im from Detroit as well even tho I live in Myrtle Beach now but my dad play this kinda stuff in the car alot and I just love this vibe

      Joshua Grace i heard this tune on the only jazz station in Detroit, WJZZ, back in 81 and was hooked. Jan Ackerman is from Sweden.

    I was just about to say the same thing. WJZZ played so much dope stuff it was like a crate diggers dream come true! And just like a crate digger, they never said who the damn artist was half the time. It was pure luck that i happened to have some internet radio stationon & i find this joint, sad but true.

    Jan will never get the praise he should cause Focus were never as mainstream as other bands of the time. But he was and still is a outstanding guitar player and he allways will be remebered as such. Jan Akkerman plays top notch stuff all the time.

    If you like Jan's jazz fusion you will probably like Jeff Beck as well. Check out his albums 'Blow By Blow' and 'Wired'. Both mid-late seventies albums like this one.
