I could tell how scared and careful with your wording you were when comparing Rey to Luke. Don't worry, I totally agree with you and think that Rey is inferior simply because she failed to grow as a character. It does not feel like she earned her power, so how can the audience relate and why should the audience care if she never struggled or grew as a person? I get it though bro. It is a risky thing to criticize the Last Jedi (especially Rey) because you don't want to be unfairly labeled as a sexist or a bigot. We must tread lightly my friend. ;-)
@Ugly Mofo Predator I like TLJ and Disney canon too. I don't hate Rey at all (not because I don't want to be accused of being sexist), though I do see why Rey is called a Mary Sue. I just see her as someone who struggles to understand and control her force abilities (though she regardlessly progresses with the force far easier than Luke did)

He knows that the maniacal dr Wily will never give up in his quest for world domination and he must stop him for a greter good .
I agree with everything you said. A hero shouldn't be super powerful or win every battle. Most heroes have flaws and that whats makes them interesting. This is definitely the case with Spiderman. He has fought many super villians and won, but he's also lost as well. It's Peter Parker being who he is, defines him.
The ONLY REASON why ash hasnt won a pokemon league yet, according to the pokemon writers from the anime, is that they would have to cancel the series afterward. WHAT???????????????? USE THE MAIN CHARACTER FROM THE NEW GAMES?????????
Yeah, now that I think about it. They could have use the main characters of each game for every season. Ironically, one of my favorite protagonists ever is Ash from Pokémon, yeah, the guy everyone hates on and rant about how much he sucks. I don't know, there's just something about him that makes me like him so much. His development is so good and natural and believable- at least until Unova- with him going from an idiot who had his heart in the right place but mostly didn't know what he was doing, to a badass who's been through the weirdest shit you can imagine and most definitely knows what he's doing, and still somehow stays true to his character, never really changing drastically from what he originally was, except in attitude. And yeah, he took way longer to win than he realistically should've, just look at Tobias, but when he finally won it felt amazing and powerful, even if it felt like it should've happened earlier. Honestly, with Pokemon and Ash not winning a League, blame the damn writers and the people behind the Pokemon anime as a whole. There have been instances that Ash could have easaly won, like the Sinnoh League and Kalos League especialy (HOW THE !@#$ A WATER TYPE LOOSES TO A FIRE TYPE???), but because the writers can't for some reason let go of Ash and turn him into a immortal child, then it clearly shows they are out of ideas. Why not them make a Pokemon show with a new main character, with different motivations, goals and a journey? Hell, even I came up with a new Pokemon show that takes place in a Sinnoh Region in my sleep (no joke), then the creators of the anime that run the franchise till it can't run anymore.
You could do a video on weak character and OVER POWERED characters. It could be interesting. Because vegito in DBZ was overpowered because he could only be stopped by being eaten by buu. Went on a bit of a tangent. But yeah two video on the weak and the op could be great.
You know, K.O from ok k.o is like a protagonist you get to understand. Being raised by his only mother and having to need his powers on check, he still thrives as a hero
Well then you’re pretty much missing the point of SAO. Kirito is not meant to be a hero. He’s just a normal guy that wanted to escape the game as well as save his friends.
The 'good' Mar Sues you mentioned are, in fact, not mary sues. Mary Sues are characters that don't have a character arc. But characters you mentioned do have an arc; a flat character arc. Where instead of the character changing in response to the world and characters around them, the world and characters change in response to them.
i agree with the FACT that charecter development is awesome but i think that if you want to create a long lasting series (DRAGON BALL) the flat chatecter arc is a good choice which shows the charecter knowing a truth and using that truth to convert others that belive a lie (like goku has a flat arc)
To be a hero Means to do whatever it takes to do what’s right. To use their abilities responsibly and never take advantage of them. To use those abilities to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Whether it’s stopping a mugging or destroying a meteror, all lives matter. A hero is someone who grows from their experience and becomes a better and stronger person. A hero with morals and integrity who values the people around him or her and understands that they can’t always win. To be kind and fair to everyone around them, even if they don’t do the same.
This video is amazing. Diamondbolt is even more amazing. Keep this up DB, and you'll have 100k subscribers by the end of this month. And are you really sponsored by Sony?
Even though this is a video about Heroes, I always find Villains to be more compelling. Joker, Venom, and some versions of Megatron (BW, Prime, IDW) to name a few.
Yeah, the more I think about that moment in the video where DB just bitches about Satoshi (Ash) from the Pokémon anime sub-series didn't age quite so well. Satoshi (Ash) may not be perfect, but that won't stop him from being a relatable yet amazing and iconic character despite his flaws.
Love these what makes a great hero and villain videos! I have a request though. Can you do another video like this on anti-heroes? I love anti-heroes, and I’d really wanna hear what you have to say about them. PLEEEEEEASE?! 😁

Yeah, Rey is a Mary Sue.
Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed
Late at night toss and turn and dream of what I need
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
Larger than life
Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
Someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Watching me
Through the wind and the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood
Like the fire in my blood
Like the fire in my blood
Like the fire in my blood
Like the fire in my blood
Hero
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
And he's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
Hero
And he's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero

Nemisis prime productions2018 because he isn’t talking about transformers anymore
@@highground7923 he can talk about it. It's just not the focus anymore
Ayal Zur this is a month ago, also, I never said he couldn’t
13:21 poor DiamondBolt, I'm sure you will find love bro!
I swear myself that I saw the importance of a good villan video about 30 minutes ago
A character doesn’t require being unique or relatable to be good
i agree with the FACT that charecter development is awesome but i think that if you want to create a long lasting series (DRAGON BALL) the flat chatecter arc is a good choice which shows the charecter knowing a truth and using that truth to convert others that belive a lie (like goku has a flat arc)
“Hell yeah! RIP HIS LEGS OFF!”
-Diamondbolt 2018
Damn just realized he dissed the protagonist from the guy in the planet where he just has his phone

It's crazy that ash won the pokemon league a while back
Ash Ketchum has now become the world champion and beat Cynthia and Leon
*read title* Just not being Kicker is a good start.
Goku Just Wants To Fight Strong Guys
1 year later, ash finally wins a Pokemon league. Good for him
Yeah, the more I think about that moment in the video where DB just bitches about Satoshi (Ash) from the Pokémon anime sub-series didn't age quite so well.
Satoshi (Ash) may not be perfect, but that won't stop him from being a relatable yet amazing and iconic character despite his flaws.
5:33 he can’t even become eleven
14:56 HANNA MONTANA 😂
Can you react to Prime vs Gundam death battle

Is the God Empeor of Mankind a protagonist?
Love these what makes a great hero and villain videos! I have a request though. Can you do another video like this on anti-heroes? I love anti-heroes, and I’d really wanna hear what you have to say about them. PLEEEEEEASE?! 😁
Diamond I have never been a bigger fan! I love this and the villains video to death!
If anyone asks, an example of my favorite hero in media is Optimus, Zero from Mega Man X, or Vegeta, but my least favorite are the Warriors for Hire from Mighty Magiswords
With power and responsibility
1:01 maybe they send their sister back to ab abusive parent that keeps them on a leash and I just want to see the protagonist get treated like Lenny
6:00 favorite thing to hate about Pokémon(and it doesn’t have leaf storm at lv.1 lol)
