I met a girl after a lengthy hospital stay and living in housing for homeless vets. Was just starting to work about 16-20 hrs a week. When Easter came along her parents invited me to dinner. I felt ackward and embarrassed through the whole visit. When they dropped me off her mother told me, not to worry, you make her happy that's what is important. That was 18 years ago.

If they wanted to pay everyone "their" money, which the banks don't have, just as they don't have the GOLD that people think they invest in and that they only own it virtually, the banks never owned it and don' t! If people were to choose their physical gold, no one would ever have it!

Very, very good story! I didn't see that twist coming at all. So clever. (I once dated an apparently homeless lady. She was so much more intelligent than I was/am. Sadly, she had drug problems, and was thrown by any hint of stability.)

It grinds my gears to hear people call homeless men bums. Just because a man is homeless doesn't make him a bum, last I check bums don't work they bum around asking for hand outs instead of working for it themselves. Teenagers 16 and older without jobs are bums if they're not going to school full time

Bums basically means lazy bums, so as teenagers who don't go to school.
Didn't you notice they are not peticularly good with English language? That means they probably used the words they use in their native language and directly translate those to English. They had no clue which words would be more appropriate.
