Simulation models as a basis for decision-making - WEISS Rotary Indexing Tables

Simulation-based Application Engineering as well as virtual commissioning contribute to shorter development times. Already during the planning phase of an automated assembly line, its productivity and output can be calculated. In order to do so, virtual simulation models of the components are necessary.
In this reference application, WEISS directly compares the productivity of the fixed-cycle rotary indexing table TC-N and TC-N with eCam. TC-N with eCam enables a 5 percent increase in productivity due to the combination of fixed-cylce cam and servo motor shaping the rotation of the indexing table. In the reference application, TC-N with eCam showed a cycle time 80 milliseconds shorter than the the fixed-cycle rotary indexing table TC-N. It is precisely these milliseconds that offer potential for increasing productivity in high-volume production.
With the fifth generation of its rotary indexing tables, WEISS is now taking a further, resolute step towards fulfilling customer wishes for more flexibility, resource efficiency and speed.
