On 4 August 2023, we held an unforgettable concert to mark the 100th anniversary of Lianhe Zaobao. Titled Hits of Classics, the concert programme was curated by Zaobao subscribers through online voting. Today, on their official birthday, we're thrilled to share the concert footage with all of you!
Join us in commemorating this incredible milestone and enjoy the classic hits performed by SCO! This digital recording features 2 bonus music pieces performed solely on 5 August - “Reflections of the Moon on Erquan” erhu by Zhao Jianhua, and “Fishermen’s song on the East China Sea”.

《二泉映月》in this arrangement the erhu soloist was allowed to play alone, to develop the theme; then later on the full orchestra comes on. i like it that the sadness of this tune was conveyed in this arrangement.
