Used Zapp's "Be Alright " for the original "Shakilya"! Sampled later by others but PRT used it first! Sadly, it was barely if ever played on the radio. Years later, Tupac Shakur used it for "Keep your head up!" And that's all it's known for!

Peep full circle! I came into knowledge of self at 17, 1987. When PRT came out i would have the cassette in my walkman EVERYDAY! the Gods used to clown me about always listening to PRT. Fast forward to this year December 23, 2021 one of my friends who came into realization with me and who used to clown me for listening to PRT came up to me at work and was like "i was just listening to Wise Intelligent The other day and he blew my mind!" I was like damn my dude really? i remember when yall used to clown me for listening to Poor Righteous Teachers! He was like yeah i know!! LOL
People look at these guys as "Just Artists", but they Really are "TRUE POETS", resembling the likes of Langston Hughes, Ras Baraka and the Last Poets ect ect and All the rest of the Great Black Poets of our time. And I agree w his analysis on Krs-One. Everything about Krs Screams "HipHop", Facts. Peace ta the God Wise intelligent✊🏾
