Driving Audi for the last 30 years strong well built and do huge mileage if serviced correctly.

It should have two engines, a petrol engine and an electric motor and together they can be really powerful, I hope. you know an electric motor can be used as a slingshot

I live in a 4th floor flat and don’t have access to a charger.
You mentioned that it charges at a rate of 3.6 Kw/hr using public chargers.
If I am doing in city commutes, how often do I need to charge at public points?

hey lad, nice job on the review, I have an A6 2013, I love it, but also I'm a huge fan of the 5 series, so yeah hard to pick! I would say the BMW's have gotten so popular that you see less of the same car as yours in the carpart when you drive an A6

Depends on the car. An exec saloon, happy enough for an auto box. Hot hatch/performance car, manual, always.

@@NobbyOnCars I remember that now. Think it was a blue one? I had the 5 series and the older A6 before that so I'm back to the the Audi group. First PHEV though so I'm delighted a true petrol head is giving positive feedback on the electric motor. Was a little sceptical tbh. I was going for the 3L but with VRT shooting up in the budget, it wasnt worth the price tag. 🤞it was the right decision.😃
Good combo of performance and running costs. VRT is particularly horrendous now so unfortunately being into cars and engines is made all the more difficult now.
Well my son just gave up his A6 in favour of A BMW 5 Series, both beautiful cars but too low for me.
That said, great car and PHEV is the bonus.
They’re both so hard to call, lovely cars either way.

Does it have a trailer assistant like the Volkswagen Passat?
What if you will never charge the battery, will the battery charge for the petrol engine? won't battery be damaged in this usage scenario?
That suspension looks and sounds STIFFFF. Dude getting bounced around like a tennis ball. Deffinetly gotta get the air suspension on this is available.
Lovely car well appointed with all the gadgets but the one thing I can't get my head round is over 70k and no reversing camera? That's quite disappointing, still I can't see my ever being able to afford such a beast anyway though it's always interesting to see how the other half lives with such a car. Crackin'review as ever Nobby.

Hi nobby great review . Beautiful car . I’m buying a bmw 530e in January, probably a 181 or 182 have you driven one , what are your thoughts on the car . I need a bit of space and Id never buy a suv . I have a 320d and no longer need a diesel as my work commute is 6 miles and I want to dip my toe in this electric lark . I’d love this Audi but I’ve never bought new cars and this is very expensive.
Yes they’re lovely and smooth in terms of delivery, the current 5 is a very refined car. Boot in the 530 is smaller due to batteries but everything else is the same.

Thanks Nobby - very nice car PHEV may be a convincer for some. An S6 PHEV with battery and large petrol engine could be entertaining so best of both worlds.
That could easily happen - pure turbo examples are not going to be the solution down the road anyway with an emissions obsessed world!
The Audi A4 should be available as a plug-in hybrid. They only come with what is called a mild hybrid, right?

I have to admit the Audi A-6 are cute 🥰 I have a A-6 S-Line 2.L petrol ⛽️ turbo 2014 design is 💯 but like you mentioned other cars 🚗 are nice to but once you get behind the wheels its like your horse 🐎 coming first in the cup Damm thankyou again for showing me why I got this A-6💯💕💯💕💫💫
What is the mileage become when battery is out? Do you still have the same electric boost after battery is depleted? Like in a long road trip?
I get about 600km with a heavy foot and about 55km full electric mode also with a heavy foot.
And yes it's quite cleaver, it keeps the battery with a certain amount of power for when you want boost power. And my god does it go with the kickdown! 😁😁

Price as shown in the video? Battery warranty? Car warranty - typically German cars will only provide a 2 year warranty which should speak volumes..!! Everyone else will provide a 5 year or even 7 year warranty. Also can the A6 PHEV be fitted with a tow hitch? The 530e cannot.

Competition model of this car is just under 2 grand more expensive than the ‘standard’ S-Line which adds 367BHP, red brake callipers and a few other tricks up its sleeve. Would seem slightly foolish to not go for the competition if you’re paying the full whack €72K anyway...

Having owned both I can say with confidence that the Audi A6 TFSIe 55 beats the BMW 530e M Sport hands down.
That’s great to hear as I’m looking to get one of them but not sure if the A6 TFSle was gonna be better. What are the down side’s on both if there’s any?
@@geemoney4340 The battery range on the A6 is far superior on pure EV mode. I’m getting between 65km and 70km from a single charge. With the BMW maximum range was just under 30km. The A6 has 367BHP and is 4 wheel drive. The BMW has circa 300BHP. Split rear seats are standard in the Audi, cost option with BMW. The standard stereo in the Audi is as good as if not better that the cost upgrade on the BMW. The virtual cockpit on the Audi is in my opinion much nicer than the BMW. Just a few differences that I have experienced, hope it helps.
@@geemoney4340 one thing about the A6 that I was disappointed about is the ambient lighting. It was listed as standard on the build but that’s just white. If you want other colours it’s a cost option which I would have got had I know, colored ambient lighting is standard in the BMW.

why?
The design of the a6's interior is nicer than the 5 series. But the build quality doesn't get close to it. This was a shock to me. I am a hard-core audi fan, and I was finally able to afford a proper car.
I test drove a 2020 a7 and a 2021 a6, and I was very disappointed with both. The plastics used inside feel so cheap and they all sound very hollow, the buttons move a lot sideways when you press them, the lights control panel feels like it's gonna fall off every time you touch it. It really annoyed me because I wanted to buy the latest version of the A7 so badly. I just love the way it looks. The ride was extremely bad, worse than my 2016 insignia. Every pebble in the road made the car feel like it would break in half.
So I took an a6 they had for a test drive as well. The ride was better than the A7, unsurprisingly so, especially that the a7 was on 20' and the a6 on 19. But it was still shockingly bad.
I was very disappointed and just to get it out of the way I also took out a 2021 bmw 530e for a test drive. I was absolutely blown away. I never liked bmw, never owned one before, never drove one before. It was night and day difference compared to the audis. I couldn't feel any speed bump, no noise, nothing. It was serene. All of this on 20 inch wheels with pirelli p zero run flats and m sport package. Imagine what it would be like on 19s with normal tires.
I would suggest to anyone debating between the two to go to a dealership that has both in stock and go test drive them one after the other, on the same day and on the same route.
I also test drove a 2018 range rover velar, a 2021 e class and a 2018 s class.
I ended up buying the 530e (because the s class had 240k km on it)
lol I found this not because I was trying to see if a gay BMW better then Audi, i only clicked it because I was surprised to see phev a6 we only have a7 in north America
And no PHEV A7 here oddly

PHEV is becoming a big issue with consumers as if you don’t keep them charged they are gas guzzlers and highly damaging to the environment. Car manufacturers are pulling the wool over our eyes yet again! Nice car but way overpriced!
I think strictly speaking, they are only guzzlers if the petrol engine is a high powered one. Not all petrol hybrids have big engines but I do accept the point.
Yeah that's the whole point. When u buy one of this u have to charge it every night.
