You know Bro for your information, that Lord Jesus Christ replica is called "Black Nazarene". The Black Nazarene refers to a life-sized, dark-colored statue of Jesus Christ that was brought to Manila, Philippines, from Mexico on May 31, 1606, by the first group of Augustinian Recollect friars sent by Spain. The image was charred black in a fire that broke out on the ship during its trip to Manila from Mexico. It was believed by many people especially in Quiapo, Manila as miraculous! Actually, there has The Feast of the Black Nazarene (Filipino: Pista ng Itím na Nazareno), also known as the Traslación after the mass procession associated with the feast, is a religious festival held in Manila, Philippines that is centered around the Black Nazarene, an image of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated annually on January 9.
Did you know that the real Jesus of Nazareth was NOT a white man??!! He was indeed a man with dark colored skin. He was a Hebrew Israelite, lived for a time in Egypt, Africa
These videos are the only thing keeping me going while I’m in the hospital for surgery. You’re far to underrated. Thanks for cracking me up during this time homie 🙏🏾
That guy with u seems just step out of his comfort zone😁quite choosy or scared to try something new😝🤭😉 i enjoyed watching, thanks for sharing your experiences..Alex is cool and pretty.. keep safe and enjoy your stay 😎😉✌️
If you give money/food to those street kids, they will call for backup and then you'll end up with a bunch of kids following you around which will just annoy you so just don't give them any but it's nice of you to give a little 😊
Your the best travel tour channel i have seen in TH-cam other than maybe one ither channel. However you are far more funny and you actually hang out with the locals in more depth than what i have seen of other travelers. New subscriber here from Maine , USA!!!! I'm close to Canada but have never been there ....id like to someday see your home country as well. It sucks you need a passport to get into Canada these days but oh well. Ever since covid it seems like the wait period for getting a passport is long af. Im 36 and never have had a passport before 😂
gulaman is vanilla and brown sugar base refreshment topped with home made chopped jello, its the most popular street juice in manila, and about the kids, some of them are legit begging for money to feed themselves but some uses the money to buy solvent that they sniff.
17:02 We usually don’t eat the hard part. He mentioned which part was hard earlier but some people do eat that part so he must’ve not thought about warning you both after serving. There is also another type of Balut that doesn’t have the bird developed yet (called Balut Penoy) and I personally enjoy them more than the one you guys had. You both are amazing at trying everything and having the full local experience. 26:39 the driver was saying he’s not wearing a sweater for the rain and I think he’s not too comfortable with his English that’s why he was hesitant. The other guy was telling him to go ahead and take you guys to your destination but he was hesitating.
21:32 "Salamat" means "Thankyou" and then he said "Hindi" means "No" 22:38 that drink is called "Gulaman" they put some Jelly there and it taste so sweet 🤤
Welcome to my beautiful country 😊❤missing my country🇵🇭 every time I see someone's vlogging in the Philippines. There's no place like home. From Norway here proud to be a Filipino😊 you guys must try to visit BGC and some parts of Manila with different museums
Enjoy your stay in the Philippines 🇵🇭, I hope you can experience how the Filipinos celebrate Christmas and New Year in the Philippines 🇵🇭. In one or two months, you can see the Christmas trees and Christmas lights and you can hear the Christmas songs too.
I love balut when I was small. We just eat it, we dont dissect whats inside😂. One thing I dont like eating in a balut is the white part. Sometimes its really hard like cartilage. Best part is the duck and the yellow part.
You Guys Are Never Get Bored Or Depressed In The Philippines Because Every Street Has A Lot Of People Specially In Christmas That Start In September So Many People In The Mall And New Years But Always Be Careful Your Belongings Walking In Street For Some Accident On The Road Like Cars And Motorcycle And Always Use Your Instinct To Some Other People Like Pick Pocket Or Salisi Gang Or Some Crazy People Who Take Advantage On You But Some Other Rich City In The Philippines Is Nice And Good In English God Bless You . . .
I suggest you if you are guys hopping on rides here, you can ask the bill first. 500 pesos ($5) is so damn expensive, I feel so bad for that kind of situation. I'm sorry guys :( (sorry if some my grammar is wrong, I don't have any confidence on speaking english :D)
Soo yummy grilled ballot 😋😋😋 try you taste it... here quiapo cariedo chuchu grill balot.. Filipino Nice friendly all smile... Good heart ❤️❤️❤️.... Try to visit Philippines ❤️❤️
Hello! If you're ever back in Manila, please let me know. I'd be happy to show you around and give you a tour of the city's rich culture and history. Although I don't have a car, I can take you on a walking tour. Here are some of the places we can visit: - Intramuros where you can try the best Liempo and Lechon Kawali - Happy Land and Aroma Slum tour - We can climb Manila's Smokey Mountain - My mom can cook sinigang for you and your companions - If you want to try Rabbit meat, I can arrange that for you - We also have a place where you can try goat meat - Let's also have a food crawl in the oldest China town - If you would like to visit the home for abandoned children and elders, I can take you there as well. My mom and I watched one of your videos where you passed by near our home. Hope to meet you soon!
Usually tricycle overpriced not only foreigners but also locals, be careful next time theres a lot of tricycles and taxis that taking advantage of their passengers.
Balut isn't bad. Especially if you don't think about it. The worst thing about it was what looked like the egg white except it was hard like biting through cartilage. There are different stages of balut. Mine was just started to grow feathers.
Quiapo and Baclaran districts of Metro Manila are known for many folk Catholic merchs. Heheh. That black Jesus is an image of Our Father Jesus of Nazarene (Nuestro Padre Hesus Nazareno) one of the most revered images of Jesus in the Philippines with millions of devotees known as Hijos de Nazareno (Sons of Nazarene). People wears maroon Nazareno shirts to show that they are devotees of Jesus of Nazarene. It's very common in the Quiapo district. Filipino devotees could relate their life struggles to Jesus of Nazarene and His pain and suffering before and during His crucifixion. Devotees also claim that Padre Hesus Nazareno grants wishes to those who sincerly pray to Him. I myself experienced His grants.
good job trying the balut. the white part is hard so we don't normally eat it. that tricycle driver ripped you off though. you should've negotiated with the driver first.
Negotiate the fare first before you take the ride. Take it as a gift for those people if you think it is expensive. Be wise next time, not only in the Philippines but to all of your trips around the world.
yeah sir should established the price first for the tricycle, i really feel bad at those taking advantage of foreigners here in the Philippines. but anyway take care and more vlogs!
Yoooo that 500 pesos tricycle ride was pretty wild😂 it's only 50 per person dude that's outrageous, nextime don't as him how much he wants, they literally showing their opportunistic sides especially if you're a foreigner. opportunistic people like him wants you to pay more than the actual fare
I love your gf attitude shes a real cowgirl ❤ its like she wants to conquer all just for new experience and btw you dont need to eat the hard part on balut its like you eating a pencil eraser 😂 ... Im not sure but maybe thats the pillow of chick inside
I like this vlogger he’s a joker and explore almost everything he’s not bored to watch entertaining.
That Bernard (Balut Vendor) knows how to deal with foreigners he's smart and speaks English pretty well. Kudos sayo boss .

charge that to experience. the only ones who ride tricycles are those who live 3 to 5 mins from home. They usually charge P50 at the most.

The Gulaman is a Vanilla flavored drink it is powdered and dissolved in water
You need to learn how to bargain. If they give it to you for 450 pesos, ask for it for 250 pesos. For sure, you can get it for 300 pesos.
I usually do barter but you can't barter for jesus
Try melon juice too. Those two juices are my favorite.
This is the first video i see travelers eat balut like a champ💪. yall went in on that💯 Cheers!!
those Jollibee beggars make you more annoyed at them rather than be sympathetic. like quit tapping on the glass homie!!

Them street kids huff glue. Don't be an enabler with your good intentions.
Coz there’s an anti mendicancy law in phils which ur not allowed to give any certain amount of money to beggars, it’s a crime … UNDER PD 1563
Gringo Cody, the other guy is definitely out of his comfort zone. He felt uncomfortable the entire time
This trip is probably great for him then. At least he’s out there allowing himself to be forced out of his comfort zone.
Gulaman is derived from red algae or seaweed.
Overpriced trike fare.tge govt in manila should go after these abusive teike drivers.shame on them.
