The more I read about GT the more I find these videos clear, concise and explanatory. I keep coming back to them over and over to clear my mind. Thank you!
I have found these mini-lectures invaluable. I am writing some online distance learning materials on qualitative methodologies and analysis for doctoral level students and make regular reference to your videos for students to watch. They sum up so nicely the different qualitative approaches and potential limitations. Thanks so much Graham for sharing these.
Andrew Bennett asks "Would you mind giving me a suggested playlist of your grounded theory clips. No need to make an actual playlist but just some ordered titles. I'm sure there is a better order to the way I am viewing them at the moment" I have already constructed a playlist on Grounded Theory. It contains all my videos in their logical order along with some others I have found on TH-cam that are very useful. th-cam.com/play/PL8CB91CC62C1C2C7E.html
Thank you for uploading these very informative videos Dr Gibbs, they are really helpful. Could I ask what your thoughts are on using more than one approach for a study/paper? I've come across quite a few published studies that seem to use Strauss & Corbin's GT but also include elements of Charmaz's constructivist GT, e.g. reflexivity. What is your view on this? Thank you!
