You are a great man. many people in this world no longer have mentors to teach us. I just want to personally thank you for all your hard work that we don't see and for sharing with us! Thank you!!
Hello Rene, Thank you for sharing the video. Can you share the mixing ratio of the adhesive resin, micro ballon, cotton flakes, and thixotropic agent powder? Did you use the same resin as an adhesive that you used for a layup?
Masterpiece!! The outer shell of your aircraft is made entirely of carbon fiber. How do you avoid losing the signal from the remote control? Or does the carbon fiber outer shell of the aircraft not affect the signal of the receiver?
Not sure which is the most impressive: your flawless work or the fact that you can swap languages back and forth whilst doing it. Subscribed. By the way, where did the original model for the mould originate?
I don’t know if this is how René did it, but I was thinking of doing this. I’m considering 3D printing copy of the plane, casting the molds in composite around the 3D printed plane, separating them, then using the molds to make a composite plane.
@@renerosentraeger why brother ! I see some people or company makes their RC planes still using this Vaccuum to make a mold and plug with that ! why you didnot you used brother ! ?
hi mate , Have you thought about vacuum bagging it ? Comparative weight savings are great and you can consolidate , a far better , stiffer substrate Cheers ATB Phil
not surprised the carbon fiber is causing problems with the receiver ... it is conductive after all ... so it is just a big faraday cage ... now attach the antennae to the carbon fiber and you turn the body into the pick up point ..
Hello, I have 2 questions: what glue do you use to glue the finished carbon fiber parts of the airplane together and how do you fasten them together? The second question is about one of your old videos, what materials and how much do you add to the composition. th-cam.com/video/hijjh-kjKQE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bwJHsijFLvFFUqIe
FANTASTIC Work. How long does it take to learn making FRP/CF Fuselages (the whole thing ... i mean like everything !!)? Is there an Online Course Ii could take ? I am from India

I'm so glad Joel Vlashof mentioned this channel.
Always welcome;)
Your workshop is awesome!!! Great build and looking forward for more videos!!

Wonderful work René!
Thanks!!
Alles sehr schön gezeigt, sehr interessant/gefällt mit Rene!

Sehr gut! Thank you for posting and love the Harrier. What tool are you using to cut the cloth?
Love it so much. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
You're welcome mate 😉👍
Awesome work. We need skills like these in India.
That never happen because of high tax😂
Your fabrication process are well-known to you, I can see that you have been doing this for a while now. Great work and video.
Good job man, well done, Great video. Thank you lot's
René, could you show us, how mold could be created?
Will be shown in one of the next TH-cam episodes👍👍
Hallo Rene
4:03min ich verstehe kein Englisch . Ich habe ein frage welche 3 pulver drin und wie viel gramm vermischt ?
What is that tool you are using to cut the cloth near the beginning of the video?
Great video , I was looking for a tutorial of how to make the molds for fiber glass fuselage, Thanks
You are welcome man👍

By the way, where did the original model for the mould originate?
Thx man😁👍 It's a 3D Scan from little plastic model✨
I would have liked to see how you got the strip of glass in the hard reach places and was this after you bolted the two halves together?
Awesome job
Great video, any reason why you join it with glass tape instead of leaving the untrimmed excess of one side and overlapping the joins ?
It's easyer, cleaner and you prevent sharp carbon spikes.
Why don't you use a frame for structural reinforcement ?
what is the first white layer on the mold...
Thanks
80g glas
Fantastic!
why is the most outside layer fiberglass, instead of just using another layer of carbon fiber?
To avoid cavity under the filler surface 👍
Por favor una ayuda, qué tipo es ésa fibra de carbono y la resina, gracias
what the kind of pint that you spry on the mold ??????????
Acrylic paint.
can any one give me the name of those white powder in english 4:04
Microballoon 😊
@@renerosentraeger thank you so mutch my frind worth following
Hi Rene, so you mentioned issues with rc radio frequency and the carbon fibre, is that with the receiver arial totally within the hull
The Carbon Fuselage works like a faraday cage, it absorb the TX signal. So the rx antenna had to be outside of it🔧👍
@@renerosentraeger thanks did know that
Thats really excellent work but Im really curious, why nit infuse?
Infusion is getting heavier and needs lot time for preparing. It is more use for multiple layer applications like boats, molds..
@@renerosentraeger i can agree it will take more time, but why heavier? Wouldn’t you be able to achieve a better resin to fiber ratio than wet lay?
Who makes the tool that was used to cut the carbon fibre cloth?
Check www.r-g.de
How did you make the plug for the Harrier fuselage? I believe that is the hard part.
3D Print and putty and paint 👍
@@renerosentraeger Are you using AutoCad or SolidWorks to design the jet?
This pattern awesome how did you do
Superb !!!
Thx!
Good luck! Next time can you make a spaceship that can fly?
Minimum 😁👍👍
Inspiring videos and incredible fabrication skill!! Are you going to be selling fiberglass/carbon fiber harrier/SU-X airframes?
That's not planned.
Hi René, how did you make the molds? Which material are they made of?
Composites..Resin and Fiberglas
I don’t know if this is how René did it, but I was thinking of doing this. I’m considering 3D printing copy of the plane, casting the molds in composite around the 3D printed plane, separating them, then using the molds to make a composite plane.
Is it a white paint, if yes, what is a name of it?
Molotov covers all acrylic paint
Verry good 👍
Hi,
is that some kind of special spray paint? How did it release from mold that easily?
Fiuslääsch.........😄 nice.!
Korrekt 😁👌
After this positive Feedback about your really impressive workshop, IT would bei great If you produce a clip about your workshop
I Like your tidiness and cleanliness, ist Like 5S princibles, unfortunatly my small workshop in our garage doesn't Look so good 😔
Yeahhhhh good idea😁✌️
What was the pattern made from?
Viny film.
Great work, would be even more cool if you provide some information about the materials you used!
Why the 1 ply glass, 2 plies carbon? Why not 3 carbon?
To avoid air bubbles.
Becouse first layer carbon not see nothing if bubbles ecc...
hallo . welche gelcoat hast du genommen ?
Keinen 👍
ich meine welche sparydose hast du benutzt ?
ich find's nichts in Internetseite für molotow coversall acrylic filler
Did you cure this in the oven?
Yes
Weight of carbonfiber cloth ?
160g/m2
Very good. What a type of epoxy and how much were you used ?
L385 200g👍
Thanks sir.
This ist a Resin (L385) approved by the German aviation Agency and will be produced by company R&G Faserverbundwerkstoffe, isnt'it
Excellent !!! Which software did you use to model your RC Harrier jet? Fusion? Solidworks? Catia? NX? Solid Edge? Thanks for sharing your work.

@@shaunferris6063 Cool, thx mate😅👍👍
Why would you not resin infuse?
Would be more heavy.
@@renerosentraeger I was taught the opposite. That hand lay up is heavier than resin infusion, which puts in optimum resin amount.
