How Emoji Get Lost in Translation on Different Devices

- As more people of all ages, devices, and tech savvy adopt emojis in their texts and online messages, we must address a problem few seem to realize: Emojis look very different on different platforms.
Unicode-the standard programming language that allows communication between platforms-is pretty much foolproof for text. Words are words, and there are no cross-platform kinks to work out. But when it comes to emoji characters, things get a bit trickier. Because of licensing issues, many messaging systems on different platforms must develop their own interpretations of the corresponding emoji symbols, so an emoji on an iPhone may appear very different on an Android. And let’s just say the results … vary.
To get to the bottom of the cross-platform issues, we compared every single emoji on different systems and identified the biggest discrepancies between the Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung sets. Watch the video above to find out just how much can be lost in emoji translation. - บันเทิง

Erica Perez real answer, all emoji come with skin tone modifiers, (so you can make yours tan, brown, etc...), and Microsoft's default just doesn't bother with skin tone. You need to give it a skin tone for it to be non-gray

The phone is also really fast. Its rare to have a single bit of lag. The battery is alright and overall, I think the only con is the temperature of the phone. It does get hot sometimes (When updating an app, downloading stuff, etc) but overall, A really good phone!

Unicode is used way more than just for "Emoji", it is the reason why you can send language specific characters(e.g. Chinese characters) over the Internet and have it displayed correctly at the other end. Saying that Unicode is the programming language for emojis is wrong and ignorant!
To be pedantic, Unicode isn't a character encoding. It's just a mapping of numbers to characters. To actually encode anything you need something like utf8 which specifies how said numbers are stored as bytes.

Guys, I had a load of gadgets in my home that there emojis look different from each other.
For some reason, I always like Google's "blob" emojis because there cute, adorable and squishy. The bad (and/but good) news is Google takes them away and they're have been replaced with generic circles upon the release of Android 8.0 (Oreo) which I had a little interest with it and Google also creates some of there stickers for the throwback on "World Emoji Day!" 3 years ago.
