I had the procedure today. A little cough and headache. Was done at 7:30AM today. My jaws started hurting bad about 10PM. I know now that the mouth piece is very tight across your mouth. That is probably why I hurt. Thanks for the video!
Just had a bronchoscopy today. Was a piece of cake. I remember the sedation being given, then I was suddenly in the recovery room. I feel fine now, completely normal in fact. No sore throat even.
I just had my third bronchoscopy today and I’ve had general anesthesia with all 3 of mine so I was completely sedated and intubated. My first and second were more painful and the one today wasn’t as bad except for some shortness of breath afterwards. With the first one I had a chryobronch (where they freeze the area to get samples) and with the second one I woke up just as they were taking the ET tube out. Here is hoping for no bad news.
It's a combo of stuff including fentynil I think....dopes you up big time. It's stuff they use to do procedures where you don't have to be put under, but just totally out of it.
For me, (Swedish names) Petidin (opioid) and Medazolam (bensodiazepine). and Xylocain for numbing. They wanted to give me Morphine but I'm a Methadone patient so could not take that.
I had this, they said its painless and they were right but its still worst examination there is in this planet, you feel like you cannot breath and choke to death.
:( :( :( My mother in law passed last Sept 2 2024 because of Bronchoscopy procedure from Asian Hospital Philippines . You can check google 'Asian Hospital Philippines. I think Doctors isn't professional. My mother in law cause ' pneumonia and hard breath ' .

@@crystalslade1318 I didn’t feel anything. After they put the sedation through the iv I was out until the recovery room. Best of luck.
@@Sarahlovexox was it full sedation ? I’ve bin told I’m getting mild sedation what ever that is
@@crystalslade1318 ya they called mine mild too, but they say you don’t remember anything. So it feels like you slept through the whole thing.
@@Sarahlovexox how strange so we’re u aware of what went on ? I think I’d rather be completely asleep I’m terrified I’ve never had any procedures

What if the patient has trouble swallowing a week later after the procedure?

Do you live in the UK or Australia? They tend to do bronchs with only lidocaine spray. I couldn’t do it that way.
i had one 2 days ago and my throat has been hurting to the point i cant talk but the actual thing was easy i am just being honest
Rough recovery but I’m getting there !
