I listen to your teaching almost every night; this year is my first time reading through the entire Bible and you very much help bring understanding to my confused mind. Thank you for sharing!
Praise God! Listen to your messages that coincide with my daily Bible reading! So insightful,Lord knows didnt realize story of Hezekiah in Kings and in Isaiah too! Keep learning something knew,Thanks to you! Much appreciated😇🙏
Thank you for sharing Pastor Paul. This teaching on the book of Isaiah really builds up my faith and understanding of the Bible. I also really enjoyed the series on Ephesians. Thank you also to the staff at Calvary Chapel who organize the playlists to make it easy to listen in order. There are some beautiful passages in these chapters. Enjoying this series so much 🥰
14:57-15:17 hahahaha... I love when I'm trying to focus really really hard and stay in the word and then Pastor Paul says something funny and it breaks me out of character.
Wow the point about Hezekiahs attitude and his lack of repentance.... how many times can so many of us have that selfishness within us. I never thought about what would have happened if he had been repentant instead of being selfish "The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “There will be peace and security in my lifetime.” Isaiah 39:8 Lord may we have repentance instead of being overcome by our iniquity. Thank you for sending us Your Spirit who intercedes for us, and thank you that You have overcome! Lord, keep our hearts soft towards You, and incline our ears to Your voice. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Use us Lord for Your glory and Your purpose. We love you Lord

Thank you so much! 😊 I have another question, if I‘m allowed to ask. Why did Job suffer so much, although he was blameless? Was it because he didn‘t knew God that much before me because he had possession that he cared too much about? God himself said that he had no reason to do such things to Job. I‘m afraid that such things could happen to me, although my faith is stronger than before. And I‘m afraid that God could take my life to discipline my parents, to give them a stronger faith because they live in some sins. Could you please answer that too? 🙏🏼
Throughout the Bible, God tells us, "Fear not, for I am with you." We can build our faith in God. ROMANS 10:17 Each person must give account for their own actions. When we focus on the Lord, He helps us whatever our circumstance. We cannot make choices for the people we love, but we can pray for them. God hears our prayers
Pastor Paul Is it OK to use Hezekiahs words over someone who is very ill ..38: 14-20? I've heard you say before that christians sometimes misinterpret scripture and want to use it for physical healing of someone ..take it out of context etc ...but is it also a bad move to use parts of that particular scripture..reminding God of how he healed Hezekiah.....saying, like Hezekiah, my dear faithful sister can't pray to you God if she's dead ..she can't hope for your faithfulness once she is gone...pls spare her God...like you did Hezekiah...if it is your will Father. Pastor Paul ...would a prayer like that be considered in poor taste...a misunderstanding of scripture? I've only been a christian for 7 years but we are often praying for people in my bible study group...I get quite passionate about prayer and was told it's OK to boldly refer to God's words and things he's done....but i dont want to offend anyone by praying 'wrong'...so I wondered what you thought about that approach..if a dear friend is dying etc. I love these passages and was excited to see them...thought I could draw on them perhaps ... Thank you for all you do....from Thirroul, Australia
As a general rule I don't think there's a problem at all with using the Word in prayer. You just have to remember that the Word ALSO says that God ordained all our days before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:16) and that no matter WHAT you pray, the person that you're praying for MAY very well be at the end of their days. You don't always have to pray for someone's healing in that person's hearing. When you ARE praying in their hearing, we should pray with FAITH but not with ASSUMPTION. We should pray as we are led by the Holy Spirit. God bless you.

Hey. Thank you so much. I have another question that I struggle with. Are we allowed to eat pork? I would be happy if you could answer that 🙏🏼

It didn't make sense to me why Hezekiah showed all that he owned to the Babylonians. Trust your gut instincts, don't give your trust out so quickly.

Notice that God moved the sun back and didn't slow down the earth down. Huuum.
