Madi, I just think it's fantastic to have a young person so into things that were brand new and happening when I was a teen. I was 16 in 1986. It was a great year. 😎👍
Indeed as you noted: You dress how _YOU_ feel and with how you feel comfortable. 🦇🖤🐈⬛🕸🎃Must say that with the drama or pettiness on some channels (though I don't see it all that much nowadays), since I'm the only Goth/Darkly-Inclined person in my area, I don't see it all that much. Again I'm a mild Misanthrope (someone that deeply distrusts & dislikes Humanity as a collective whole), its also to note that I don't socialize as much either, though. 🖤🦇
I really love 90s goth rock, I feel like the 2nd wave doesn't get enough club play! I appreciate your love for retro tech as I still use it on a daily basis. Would you be interested in doing a jewelry review? I'm a goth jewelry maker in the Midwest and I make things for our subculture and vend at clubs. I'm getting into making decor too~
This sounds sort of morbidly cooler than it really is, but in the city I live, there is a park that was converted from a graveyard. Like hundreds of bodies were exhumed to convert it. I'd also read a rumor online that the film Poltergeist used the "suburbs built over a grave" concept from it.
If you like "Doom," you should try out the mod "Brutal Doom." It modernizes the game in a way that makes the gameplay even more action-packed. It features modern controls, detailed weapons with reloading animations, and much more, all without sacrificing the original charm of the game.
Madi, I want to thank you SO MUCH for your music playlists on Spotify! I love them so much, my faves are the Vampire Goth, the Halloween one, Trad & 90s Goth, the 2023 & 2024 Goth lists and currently into Hot Goth Summer. Our taste in modern Goth bands is also very similar! Thanks again, you're awesome! 🖤🦇
really interesting when you talk about music, and nit to forget I love your hair like this, spesially the small spikes that sticks out of the big teased mane.. just lovely . good work !!
I like how you accept a lot of people, you seem very nice, your style is really beautiful, I hope TH-cam continues to do so for a long time, I'm not really gothic, but I do love metal and VHS tapes, cassettes and LPs haha, I'm trying to get into it I'm not done with it yet haha, but I really like these kinds of styles, so I'll try to delve deeper into it. I am half Dutch and half Surinamese, but I think culture doesn't really matter, it doesn't matter what others think and do what I like :)😁🖤
Regarding male goth channels, I enjoy Random Goth Couple, which has a guy and girl, but it is the guy who drives the channel in terms of production and hosting.

Awesome Madi. And thank you so much for answering my question. Mine was the one about a book review for my vampire book. I don't have my writing on audio. I don't know how to do that. Except for my first Victorian Gothic Horror story. And Penny Dreadful called "Corpse Flower". It's on TH-cam. If you want to listen to it. The horror themed food places you mentioned in Utah sound great. You would love the ones here in St.Louis. Terror Tacos which is a horror themed vegan Mexican restaurant. It's so delicious. And The Headless Bat. A heavy metal pizza place ❤️
Just wanna say I absolutely love your content. I enjoy so many similar music and hobbies and its so good to see a content creator who actively participates in the same stuff. It's quite rare to see someone share everything so closely. Also quick question do you enjoy mosh pits?
If you haven't seen it, there is a Japanese horror comedy zombie movie called *Wild Zero* which I highly recommend. It stars the Japanese punk band Guitar Wolf, and has an amazing energy. The closest thing I can compare it to is Return of the Living Dead, and I'd actually put it on about the same level in terms of both quality and fun.
Thank you for answering my silly-ish question! Also I have another, possibly stupid one: am I a goth if I listen to goth music and engage in the subculture, but don't consider myself a goth?
I think you're entitled to reject any label. Black Friday was asked a related question in a Q&A, and her answer was something like "Years ago I was told that no true goth admits to being a goth, and that's something I still believe." That's more of an old-school attitude; people overtly describing themselves as "goth" is more a 21st century thing.
Thank you o so much for answering my questions and you’ll always be a hero 2 me always again thank you o so much 4 everything madam Maddi 🦇🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤🦇🦇😄😄😄😊
I have a question. Can you paint a faux leather jacket like you can a leather jacket? and if you can what paint should you use? I saw your painted leather jackets and got very inspired to make my own some time but I want to make it of faux leather. I also want to say that I have very recently started listening to more goth music and you baby bats playlist on spotify has been a big help in finding different songs and bands to listen to so a big thank you for that.
It can vary a lot depending on what the faux leather is made out of. I have had Angelus leather paint which is what I normally use work very well in some faux leather jackets, but there are some materials where it doesn’t adhere as well on others. I’m so happy to hear my playlists are getting some good use!
If you like *classic horror movies,* you should check out the movies produced by Val Lewton in the 1940s (if you haven't already). They are a bit more classy than the Universal horrors, albeit with lower budgets. The best one is probably "I Walked With A Zombie" (the studio chose the title, then they wrote the script). You might also like "The Body Snatcher", which stars both Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi! Other good ones include Cat People, The 7th Victim, and Bedlam.
Since you like some classic horror writers, I'd like to recommend an obscure but really good Belgian writer named Jean Ray. Several of his books have been translated into English. I'd recommend starting with "Cruise of Shadows: Haunted Stories of Land and Sea," which has stories from the late 1920s and early 1930s, is very weird in the best way. Point Pleasant is a lot of fun, and you should go. Be sure to go to the Mothman Museum and the "TNT area." Also, go the U.K. definitely. I was just in Edinburgh and Glasgow last month. And don't forget Whitby.
