Since they’re from the UK, surely the tweeter tube would be Alu-mini-um
I see the good old Klipsch RP-600M speakers are back in the room. These are my favourite bookshelf speakers !
Great review. Took note of all music recommendations. Thanks.
I almost choked on the sweet roll I was eating when he said the price.
A lot like window shopping for me but I always love your walk through the vast forest of audio choices.

I spent an entire day listening to various music on these, and then the next day with the JBL 4367. I'm a believer. We're talking about comparing a small bookshelf at $8000 versus a huge speaker at $15000 and I couldn't tell you which one I liked more. I think in the end I liked the larger sound stage of the JBL But that diamond tweeter is the REAL DEAL.
Glad to see some good quality parts in the crossover, which is also very simple. An indication of the quality of the drivers and the installation I think, as they’re clearly not fighting any nasty resonances. I’d love to hear them.
There is a saying that the second happiest day of a boat owner's life is the day he brings the boat home and the happiest day is the day he sells it. My father in-law can confirm that. I had a pair of 804N's, and feel exactly the same way. And I bought them just as my kids were starting to get expensive, so I was stuck with the speakers for more years than I care to admit. I managed to get them to sound really good on the best recordings, but many old favorites were rendered unlistenable.
I like hearing about the music you choose. Major influence.
Living vicariously through Steve
Back in 2018 I listened to the 805 d3’s + sub. Sounded good however I missed something. Then I listened to the 803’s without sub. I couldn’t believe the difference. I went for the 803’s + center. Powered by a Parasound a51. Still loving it.
Hello from Madrid-Spain, Steve. Here's a great recording for testing speakers... The Moody Blues "Question of Balance." Saludos. Love your channel!!
Thanks for the review, Steve.
Very beautiful speaker. Also you don't really see often specs for distortion and cable requirements. Very nice indeed
Excellent. I think Steve is by far the best reviewer on TH-cam. I enjoy very much the background with the paintings on the wall and the books. Old school NY intellectual. Are these B&W standmounts good for big orchestra and chorus symphonic music? I am not sure
Reminds me of the Triangle Signature Theta in terms of design (which i ll soon be reviewing)
This was another excellent post Steve, thank you. I've seen a few breakdowns of this new model, but yours was the best and I feel you gave more information than most.
$8000 a pair at
Thanks for the tip for the Jazz album, just purchase it.
