It's adorable that you decided on adopting a disabled cat. Cats with disabilities, illnesses, diseases, etc. are rarely ever adopted and left behind unfortunately.
he looks like a ragdoll tabby mix btw! ragdolls tend to have crossed eyes due to their genetics as they're a relatively new breed, and his coat resembles a tabby pattern.

Exactly what I was thinking!! I have two ragdolls (with super unique coats that was originally white but over time gets darker) and they do the flops and rolls right in front of people

What I know about male cats they tend to be affectionate and (sometimes) clingy, Bento had his tail up and rolled his body over meaning he's happy! Bento is surprisingly calm and already comfortable with you and larry, so that's a good sign!! Just let him be curious with the surroundings slowly until he finally adapts.

giving bento a different and cleaner environment is really thoughtful especially for him. i had 7 cats at a point in my life. bento definitely has personality....also may be able to teach him tricks cuz he seems to enjoy rolling over. that may be a cute lil video, training progress to see if he would learn a thing or two

He looks like a medium haired mackeral tabby! Definitely a mix of somethin; I do see some Siberian in there from the bushy tail, luxurious coat and almond shaped eyes.
Tip: keep him in a small area of the house and then slowly introduce him to other rooms, don’t open up the whole house at once

Cats shed whiskers and collecting them is said to be good luck. Do A LOT of research about cat bathing and grooming. Some places try to convince you to have them shaved when that can be really bad for them, and don’t trim the fur on the bottom of his paws, give him lots of scratches on his face and just above the tail (I’ve never met a cat that doesn’t like butt scratches😆), and if it can be helped, never try to force anything on him like cuddling or being held, putting your face close to his if he expresses aversion, and even cats can get sick of too much petting. I’m sure most of this is already stuff you know and I’m certainly not trying to make you feel dumb or anything, I just think it’s important to not only do research about cats but to really get to know your own. Their personality, body language, behavioural patterns, and outside factors that may affect them. I’m SURE you’ll be great cat dads though☺️❤️

I'm being completely fr here, seeing Bento has made my day. He just so happens to be the same breed my cat Bella was; she unfortunately was put down back in the summer and I was mourning her loss yesterday. I miss her so much, and Bento reminds me so much of her 😭 I hope he has a great little life with y'all

@@J04R no it wasn't anything to do with health problems, at least I don't think so. I had just moved away to my dad's and my brother having left the year previous I think she knew I wouldn't be back for a while. My only assumption is that stress caught up to her and she lashed out against my grannie and my mom about a week or two after I left; she had to be taken away by animal control because she was just so violent and because the damage she had done. My mom was too traumatized to bring her back into the house but she didn't want to live with the fact that Bella would probably be sitting at the animal shelter in a cage for the rest of her life ya know because when an animal attacks like that, they're likely to not return to how they used to be. It was a very hard choice to make but we ultimately decided to put her down because we didn't want her to suffer.

@MoreWilly Bento kind of walks like my cat with cerebral hyperplasia does!! It's also known as wobbly cat syndrome, but my cat has a less severe cases, so he usually walks in circles, can't hold still, eats food, and water peculiarly, but is the biggest love bug in the world!!

That is 100% a Norwegian forest cat, you can tell by the fur pattern and color and the fluff around the face and tail. What a silly little fella :3 (Norwegian Forest cats also have more rapid tail movements than most cats, and i noticed bento does that)
