  • We are demonstrating a Baumalight FMP260 flail mower. This mower/mulcher is the heaviest build flail mower I have ever seen for a compact tractor. It can even be used on a few subcompacts. We will be demonstrating this over the few months on both the TYM T25 and T474 tractors. As you have seen in the past videos, we hammer down on a flail mower. @Baumalight @TYM Tractors #tymtractors #baumalight

    Hi Tony, Yes they are great implements, I looked into one about a year ago, Other then not finding a dealer within 200 mile radius they are hard to get, the other problem for me for their small 48" mulcher was over $6000.00. To rich for my budget, Chief Ron

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I understand on the price. They are not cheap, but it looks like a lifetime purchase. Some other implements I have bought, I know up front they will only be around a few years.

    • @patrickbass3118
      @patrickbass3118 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair, but I spent near 5k for my riding mower. It won't last forever - this unit would replace it in a pinch and would last an awful lot longer.
      Take care

    I've never seen anyone run that fast. We mow about half that speed. It gives a nice clean even cut. If you hit a big rock or hard limb it will leave a streak of grass.

    On just one pass your corn patch was done. I mean done. Not so with a a rotory cutter. You'd have to go over 2 or 3 times. Great implement Tony. Is there nothing this thing won't chew up? I doubt a Flail Mower uses half the HP on the PTO as a brush hog or finish mower. Less HP means less fuel. I'd like to see a HP/Fuel ratio done between the three implements. I bet we'd be surprised. Thanks Tony and Tanja.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a good point on the fuel. I believe you are correct. It takes less HP to turn it, which should save fuel.

    Tony, Baumalight makes some very stout, heavy equipment. After first hearing of them from TTWT, and then GWT, it's great to see another channel give the equipment a once- and twice-over!! Baumalight is very confident in the reviews coming back favorably.
    This flail really pulverized the corn stars well. I'd have a tough time deciding on Y- blades or hammers...both have their uses on my case. Keep on flailing! See ya in Tenn soon...moving there in Aug
