Thanks for the video. This was during the one month celebration of the life of my late father, the then King of BAFANJI, FON NGWEFUNI II. This day was the turn of Bamessing and Mankon who came to pay tribute to the late King. I am the successor, present King Of Bafanji. This was in March 2012.
May he Rest In Peace.More Grace to you as hos successor.1)But why have a month continous of celebration is that according to traditions or family choice?? 2)Also can any one do a one month celebration or only a late king?? Everyday in that one month is there a bee ritual to be done or the same dances in the video everyday continous for one month??? Just Try to learn African culture… thanks
So accurate and am from Bamessing and I equally school with two of the late fun sons by name ngwefuni Eric and Elvis, I think the present fun wife was my English teacher at GTHS NDOP
i feel like crying my eyes out ... i miss home sooo much , thank you for such a clear good quality video to remind me of my home and culture ..... i really appreciate this
Watching in October 2021 a few days to my dad's funeral. His Royal highness fon Chofong ll of Bamunkumbit. A neighboring village to Bafanji.Am so elated Watching this on TH-cam. Much love for my culture. We are proud of who we are.
I attended the Death Celebration of my father-in-law papa Vincent B. Gwanmesia in the Gwanmesia compound in Bali in 1986 and did shoot a 'dane-gun' as well. A very emotional experience.
je suis aussi Bamileke. et si l'on enlevait le son et me disait que ceci se passé dans mon village a baham, j'aurais pour dementir ce fait. c'est completement indentique.vive les BAMILEKESI mean I cannot see any difference at all on the picture. from the clothing to any move and ceremony.
Great culture indeed. Long live to the Grassfield region of Cameroon. I encourage those who don't know to ask, and they will be told. There is nothing evil here At all.
Africans never fear death. In many cases it was an honorable events to transition and be part of ancestors family. Especially, when the person stand for societal causes.

I'm very surprised about the similarity of bamenda people's and bamileke . They are even using the same blue and white colours . Can somebody tell me if bamendas are considered bamileke ??
The Word bamileke is a foreign word, but we are with North west + a part of south west the same people. the other parth of ower people live in Nigeria , because of the colonial German division. Dschang is in West and Fontem is in South West , but they speak the same language.
Basically you are saying that you are related to people , nowdays called bamileke ?? thats very interresting especially considering whats happening at the moment with secessionist
