Sorry to make you wait! We took Grace out on a five day camping trip and left the trailer behind. We were out of cell and internet range most of the time. Thank you again for your wonderful comments, and we're so happy you're enjoying the videos so much!
Thank you for the video. Brought back memories. We camped in the Nat'l Monument on the east side of the mountains about 3 weeks after you were there. It's dang cold at night on the east side too! A&L
Were in all those places in January and February! Organ Pipe during the government shutdown was awesome! Maybe 20 people in a campground made for 200. Check out Chiricahua Peak, the Dragoons, Cochise Stronghold, and the grand old Gadsden Hotel built in 1907 and where Pancho Villa rode his horse into the lobby.
Sorry for the delay in the reply - I just pulled a bunch of comments out of TH-cam's spam filter. Thanks for the suggestions! We'll probably be back through that area over the winter and we'll keep those places in mind.
I worked at Sam's Town Point Bar in Kirby, TX. It was yrs ago when I bartended my happy A$$ around the USA. It had a huge lot out back where we would let people camp for a few days. I don't know if it is still there or not but it isn't a bad spot (boondocking) If you are around Gilly's bar they also have places to plug in out back. It was free for me don't know if they charge now or not. Just a thought in case you get in another pinch. Thanks for the video once again! Loved it.
@@ras57719 that's awesome news! Sorry about that one being sold, but we're sure you'll find the right one for you. We'll keep our fingers crossed that you do, and we can't wait to see what you decide on! Best of luck on this next step in your adventure.
Great down to earth videos. Wondering how many miles the truck had when you bought it. Trying to convince the banker of the house that we need one the pull our 45 foot toy hauler. Until the next video.
She had 909,000 miles when we bought her. Some lower end engine work had been done and she had a new turbo. Since then, we have replaced the cab air bags and just put in a new fan clutch. There is no better way to haul a large 5th wheel! She's also great for shorter side trips if we want to camp somewhere the trailer can't go.
When a dog is eating poo it means lack of mineral. Pet MD-canine Tabs Plus - Advanced on Amazon will help to eliminate the habit. You want high iron these tabs you only have to give 1 per day no matter the dogs size and come in a years supply for under $40. Beautiful boondock spot for sure. Love the mts.
Just found your channel...we live in Las Cruces...know the area you stayed at well. Hubby and I just got our TT in Dec. we’re going to do our shakedown next month just where you were!.
Thank you Claus! I'll admit, sometimes we get frustrated not seeing the growth we'd like, but we also know building an audience takes time and patience. We have so many wonderful viewers like you, who are supportive, that it makes all the effort worthwhile, even if we haven't rocketed to superstardom just yet ;-) We also realize we're very much still in the learning process, and constantly trying to improve the quality of our videos. Thank you for your support and kind words!
Do y'all have any videos of you camping just in the truck? If I get one I was thinking about taking it on some overnight camping trips because you can leave it idling all night for heat or AC.
Funny you should ask! We just took our truck without the trailer on a five day camping trip, and when we were in Michigan we took it for an overnighter. We're also planning on taking her on a few more weekend trips this summer. She works great as a camper and we've enjoyed the much different camping experience we get when we just take the truck. Videos of it all coming in the near future...
Hello! We just came across this video as we are looking for a place to stay near Las Cruces. I know this was quite a ways back, but do you happen to remember what time of the year this was? Thanks!
Oh, gosh. It was quite cold at night. I want to say it was in January or February. I believe we were on our way to a workamping job in Texas when we stayed there.

Thanks for the tip on the supplements. Luckily she doesn't eat any other type of poo, just horse or cow poo. Still gross though!

Is it free?
Should have your dog on a leash.
