The handicapped man on the skateboard at 25:40 is such a massive inspiration. Proving that no matter what physical limitation you're dealt with, fighting it and proving that anything is possible. I volunteered at the Philadelphia marathon a few days ago on the 24th, and he was in that marathon as well!!! Kudos to him for doing not just one marathon, but multiple. He strolled on by with a smile on his face too. Incredible!
As a runner I like this type of vid waaaayyy better than those 'I ran a marathon with no training and it was a piece of piss'-videos people tend to make, congrats!
I did the Boston Marathon, and you must complete it within 8 hours to get the medal. I was the first person to complete the race using supplemental oxygen. It took me 7 hours and 35 minutes. When I crossed the line, all I could do was cry and "Say I F--king did it" in between sobs. It was the second most amazing feeling I have ever experienced, the first being the birthing of my beautiful daughters. Good on you, Cal. It's an outstanding accomplishment. Ice is your best friend. I sat in an ice bath for about an hour, and old Mr. P had shrunk and tucked himself well into my body. And it was still worth doing the race.
@@huricanethreeonesix the clock starts from the start of wave 1, so if you're in wave 4 you're supposedly 15-30 mins behind the clock. but your running bib (number worn during the race) has a chip on it which tracks your time from when you personally cross the start line to when you cross the finish. it's accurate to the time that you run the marathon in, not the time that is on the clock.
Going sub 4 at the NYC Marathon AND FIRST MARATHON? Congrats man!! Ran NYC this year as well and watching your video made me relive all the highs and lows and joys of running that marathon. Cheers !
Firstly kudos on the run dude you smashed it and you can see what it meant Secondly double kudos on the story telling and delivery, Casey would have been proud of a video like this for sure dude
I really like that you set yourself a big challenge but gave yourself time to train, a solid training plan and set yourself up for success. great video!
Glad you didn't film it the matt choi route, and congrats on the sub 4! Also, you finished way ahead of 4 hours! 3:56:48, but I get you need the drama for the video xD
this is very inspirational. one of my long term goals is to run a marathon one day and watching this video was kind of a wake up call to start training!
Calfreezy's level of production is mental
It’s so weird that bots comment on production value
@ bro im not a bot
@@memebible8696 lol you just felt the need to comment on a professional content creators production level? Crazy
@ yeah i did because it's extremely good i haven't watched a video of his in a while and it reminded me of how good cal freezy is at making videos

3:56:48 was the chip time, gotta give yourself more credit, over 3 mins below your target time in your first marathon is quality 👏
What is a chip time?
