Upper Kinnauri bride - Heavely decked with traditional gold and silver ornaments ||

The rich and diverse traditional culture of Kinnaur have been preserved for a long time . We have our own identity because of the rich culture. Traditional dress plays an important role in our culture. The traditional dress of upper kinnaur is different from the lower kinnaur. Traditional dress of women are made up of sheep wool and it is very warm. Ornaments-The people of Kinnaur Valley like to wear ornaments. They wear beautiful ornaments during special occasions like marriages , festivals and fairs . Women wear light ornaments in their daily life. In the past both men and women used to wear a lot of ornaments, whereas these days only women wear ornaments. Silver ornaments were mostly worn in the past. In the present days gold and silver are equally used.
