Thank you! This was filmed in an empty viaduct just north of Los Angeles. It is used often for films, but all the graffiti has to be painted over every time it is used. The 'dancers' are from LA and called The Lab. The first girl, front and center, is the choreographer and I believe she was only 18 or 19 at the time. Her name is Sienna LaLau, she has a YT channel and has worked for BTS several times.. BTS also used a drum line group from UCLA university and a gospel choir.....there is a 'making of' for this if you're interested. I live in Columbus, Ohio and the Ohio State Marching Band is arguably the best in the country....but there are many colleges who are playing BTS music at their halftime shows! It's great fun to watch on YT. Borahae, ARMY grandma 💜 ARMYs please be safe and prepared wherever you are in this crazy world!
you can check jin's performance after his discharge of the military to see that how incredible he is/ they are. he didn't take a rest but as soon he discharged he launched a mini concert for the army
i mean their bsides are mostly really deep and mature so its not only in namjoon solo music especially the rapline is really honest and without a filter in their solo music but as bts they also have a lot of songs like that its just that its all in the bsides!!

BTS are not only good singers and good dancers they are incredible in every aspect of music. They are writing their lyrics and producing music along with their in-house producers. Choreographing along with their choreographers. Suga has won best music producer award for other artists otherthan BTS.They all are multi talented.

Oh, happy memories. My first BTS MV was Black Swan, ON was the second and during watching this I knew I found something truly special - I became an ARMY and never looked back. I love dance and a good choreography, complicated music production and talented singers - and BTS has all that. I mean listen to this song with headphones - there are so many layers, the instruments, the choir (OMG) the vocals, Jung Kook adlibs...just WOW. I wish you would dive more into songs when you react. For music videos there is always a BTS episode or BangtanTV about the making of, this song has even a special documentary on the music production and of course there are the dance practice videos- a must watch for all of their songs! I mean how many artist do you know who offers such a deep insight in their processes and behind the scenes? How many times could you disect a song at the level BTS allows us to do??? It is very uncommon and unprecedented. I love them for it!
It is a very motivating song. Many people listen to it when they are working out.

The theme concept of the sung is NOT 'Marching Band' it's about struggling and keep on going even when they wake up and don't know which city or country they've in even though they can't understand the language people are speaking. It's about 'the fight' the to going to overcome. The marching band is enforcing that we have to keep marching forward keep going. Be strong stand together. The marching band is just the visual representation of the lyric's of the track.

There's also a 3rd MV called BTS ON- Commentary/dialogue. In it the production company behind this song talks about it and about working with BTS. Btw, this MV-- along with the official MV was filmed in Los Angeles about the same time they appeared at an award show here. The company likes to maximize their time. Also, the producer in the dialogue film also produced their Dark & Wild album from 2014.

BTS used Carl Jung's analytical psychology to write the lyrics and make the official MV. It talks about accepting our shadows, which are those repressed parts of us. We can only evolve when we truly accept these repressed parts of ourselves. That's why the lyrics say "leave me with my everything" Only when we accept everything that is part of us can we find peace.
By the way, the drums announce. the battle that will be faced... just as it was in the Middle Ages that soldiers were warned to prepare for battle with drums...But in this case, in this song, it is our internal battle, the battle of acceptance of us as a whole.

Thank you. So many don't know that the Carl Jung theory is used extensively throughout BTS music...even in subtle ways. My daughter was in marching band high school through college undergrad. The high school band won the grand prize at most competitions. The college band (NC State) participated in the St Patrick's Day parade in Dublin, Ireland, and one an award there. It was all a great experience. We hosted an exchange student from Germany, and she knew nothing about marching bands. She played the flute but was more comfortable moving the props around on the field. Thanks for your reaction. 💜

Black Swan is a song that expresses their fear of losing their passion for music.
And ON is their determination to overcome that fear and move on to the future. :)
BTS member Jin said in his acceptance speech at the 2018 MAMA that BTS suddenly became famous worldwide and had a hard time for a year due to great pressure and fear. They even thought about disbanding. However, after a year of talking and contemplating with the members, they decided to stay in the industry only for the fans and members, and move forward.
The albums that have been released since then are Map of the Soul series. The albums are filled with songs that reconsider their inner self, the relationship between the seven members, and the relationship between them and fans. Black Swan, ON, Boy with Luv and We are Bulletproof : the Eternal are one of those songs.
Boy with Luv contains a message that they will fly toward fans, not the sun, with wings attached by ARMY.
After listening to Black Swan, you can better understand how they feel by reading ON's lyrics. :)

I'm watching on an iphone and still can't see the link. Can you link the videos that are monetised in the description of the video? This way you can put more than one and is easier to find?
I think at this point when you can recognise all of them already 🙂, it could be cool if you start watching one or two solo songs for each of them, it will give you a perspective of what they sound as solo artists, wich is quite different from BTS sound, as you noticed with RM.
