I have a map from 1902 of Blfd Twp. It's neat to see the subdivision roads are all named for the farms from back then. Quarton was the largest land owner, guess thats why he got a main road named for him?
My parents built a house in the middle of an apple orchard for Franklin Cider Mill. Then Pulte bought the land surrounding us and made a gigantic subdivision. 😢
Sold the house for $200k in 1980. Can't imagine the value now...
Hmmmm, you didn't mention Cranbrook. Very sad if it was sold and developed.

Bloomfield Hills and Township are a wonderfully affluent communities. They are located between the husk of Pontiac and the (still thriving) commercial and light industry core of Clawson and I-75.
These communities are quintessential suburbia. Nestled in the gentle rise above the alluvial plane is the city of Detroit, you will find rolling hills, forests and many car centric amenities.
Bloomington, Farmington, and Rochester Hills offer some of the best suburban access to big city urbanism, compared to anywhere else in the USA.
It was once said that if you worked in Detroit and wanted the best place to live, move to Pontiac (Bloomfield).
