When my momma passed I saw the most beautiful purple light swirling in her body then all at once it was gone. It brought me so much peace bc she always called on Archangel Michael & his "aura colors" are purple & blue. I recently learned in the Christian faith that Michael is the soul who delivers you to heaven. So while I still believe he was there to help her cross over, I'm now wondering if it was his "aura" or her soul I was seeing?! Either way, really supernatural stuff here!

I recommend reading the Big Book of Near Death Experiences by P.M.H. Atwater - there's Mellen-Thomas' story and many others. Raymond Kinman's story is pretty similar, except he wasn't taught all those light things.

Falling in love is an emotional mental illness. I have done crazy things while "in romantic love". Life changing stuff. That condition is different than loving others like family, friends, children, strangers and animals.
The subjective nature of falling in love is just that: what feels like mental illness to you has worked out beautifully for a great many.

The concept of an eternal life (in whichever way that would materialise, if at all) in my opinion would trivialise said “life”.
Without darkness, light has no meaning. What does happiness mean to someone who’s never known sadness? Health won’t be regarded as precious in the absence of disease. Death makes life precious imo.
An eternity of never ending bliss - won’t that at some juncture become mundane?
Rest in the context used above refers to unawareness. No consciousness. Cease to exist like before birth.

Eternity would be a nightmare if you only had ying or yang a unbalance which brings pain but things are not made that way.
Think of eternity not in the confines of aquired perceptions (the examples you gave as a human) but as the truth that nothing is ever destroyed and only continues in one form or another as it was always made to in the eternal dance of existence.
