I really don’t understand why people say, “It looks bad that he hired a really good lawyer”, because we have learned from watching all sorts of true crime shows that the first thing they tell you to do is to ask to speak to a lawyer. If you know or have a strong sense that someone is claiming you did something you’re innocent of and you have the capability of getting a lawyer, would you sit there silently and just not protect yourself? It truly makes no sense to me why people say he looks bad for getting legal aid. Not to mention, he got legal aid after these claims were being thrown out by Blake and her team. Why would he sit there silently and not protect himself?
Tbh those people aren’t ready go have a good faith conversation. Inequality in the justice is something we talk about all the time. That includes representation. Who wouldn’t want the best representation if they could afford it? It levels that deficiency in our system due to class. The people who have this argument in my experience are also “believe all woman,” who really don’t want to see woman as anything but victims. Most reasonable people are “listen, give space and verify.” If you believe in equality you also should believe woman can possibly have the same issues as men. Lying isn’t exclusive to one gender or sex. We don’t want anymore Emmett Till, Central Park 5 or even Johnny Depp. At least people shouldn’t want that. As we can see it’s also dangerous for POC specifically.
The thing that still confused me about Blake's legal complaint is how out of touch she seems about actually lying and cropping messages to paint the image of her being a victim when everything, let's say almost everything was according to her terms during filming 👀 Like how much sense of entitlement can she have to still try to sue Justin baldoni on top of that
Why is this called a "therapist take?" You said nothing about their psychology. You basically just retold what anyone can read elsewhere. I feel lied to. Stop wasting people's time.
