16:30 to the right is the apartment building I lived in 30 years ago. I was a bit back from the street but could still hear the gears and switchbacks and "ding-ding" of the cable cars every day from dawn to late.
Good Thursday Evening My Friend IAM Hoping That You Are Having A Gorgeous Day I Always Wanted To Go To San Francisco And Ride The Cable Car We Really Appreciate You For Inviting All Of Us To Ride Along With You Much Blessings And Love Always Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida ❤😊
Nice one. I remember decades ago riding the Powell Street Line up from Fisherman's Wharf through the fog at night, chilly and damp (and that was in August), up to the lights of the city. An experience never to be forgotten. Some of those streets on the California Street Line are the ones where Bullitt was filmed back in the '60s, although at a quicker pace.
@@ActionKid It was special. On that trip, we also drove over to Sausalito and sat up on the peak of Mt. Tamalpais watching the fog roll in from the Pacific through the Golden Gate; where we sat was in a grove of small trees and shrubs with dozens of hummingbirds flitting around us.
I left my heart in San Francisco because it was populated by the LBGTQ Plus community. So I followed Barbara Eden into leaving it. Change in lyrics for updated version. Barbara Eden was raised in San Francisco and it was her old hometown.
It's so fascinating to see the mechanism and how this vintage cable car operates, especially when it goes up those steep hills at 8:21 and 9:18! 12:11 Love the architecture of Grace Cathedral. 😍 You certainly had a blast riding on the cable car on California Street, and it was cool to see Chinatown along the way! 😎 Thank you for sharing this exciting ride, AK! 🤗
The cable car ride is interesting, plying along a busy road in the downtown of San Francisco....quite a hilly terrains..AK thanks for bring us along...🎉😂
Going up that hill seemed to be a strain, going down was fun, lol! I don't remember the cable cars being so loud...but I was a teenager when the family took a trip to San Francisco. Thanks for the enjoyable memory AK.
I suspect a lot of the noise is just from the sheer weight of the cars! They're quite heavy. But it's not a strain...the system was built to haul the cars up the hill at (up to) 9.5 mph, and it works quite well!
@@ActionKid one day when I visit SF for my first time, I'll be sure to ride the street car and enjoy it just like you! Looking forward to more of your awesome videos! 😊
It was great to virtually ride the California cable car line with you. When I lived in SF, I used the Powell line a few times as it was near where I lived but never got to the California line. Besides the option of paying with a smartphone app, can one still pay for the ride the old fashioned way? FYI Visiting the Cable Car Museum (In the Chinatown area) gives one a great overview on how the cable car functions.
I'd say it's generally less popular than the Powell lines, so yeah. You may also have better luck waiting at the Fisherman's Wharf end of the Powell lines or the Van Ness end of the California line, rather than the terminals on Market
As much fun as it is to have these, it must be a real pain in the butt sometimes for people to drive around with them in the middle of the road. Especially people who may not be familiar with city traffic.
Beautiful city with perfect weather for a ride to the top by tram.
The cable car may have been struggling to climb that hill, but the bicycle rider in the yellow vest did OK! Nice ride - thanks.

So happy to have the experience of riding a cable car
I feel like more tourists ride the cable cars than us locals. I really do want to experience it!
Thanks for the ride San Francisco looks great from Estelle 😊
The sound this thing was making rattled my nerves lol😩😁... Fun ride❗🤩

Much appreciated! They tackle the hills of San Francisco easily
very cool they should bring trolleys back to some place in NY. they used to exist.
That would be interesting!
The Actionkid figures it beats walking 🚶♂️up that steep hill ! 🐼

This video inspired me so much that I want to make my own cable car now
Bachmann make HO scale models of them.
You may have saved me a ton of money. That's the only reason I wanted to go. Been just about everywhere else in Cal. Nice video. Thanx.
Damn ur calfs would be rock solid if you walked around this city all the time
Fun ride Action Kid!❤
Looks beautiful. No homeless. But very few people on the streets either.

Wow: 🤪 the hill is no joke.
Is the line any shorter for the California Street? Cable car?
I'd say it's generally less popular than the Powell lines, so yeah. You may also have better luck waiting at the Fisherman's Wharf end of the Powell lines or the Van Ness end of the California line, rather than the terminals on Market
Action kid you should ride the Bart in San Francisco.
7:19 wow that guy is a trooper (on the bike)
Grace Cathedral is where Barbara Eden got married to Michael Ansara in 1958 her first marriage.
The battery for the headlights and the interior lights are underneath the cable car.
SF looks a large city for only having a population of 800,000.
it's 49sqm in size
I'm surprised you didn't go to the original Chinatown of America
How fast dose the trolley go 🤔/// is it scary goning up that hill🤔
The cable never stops moving in that slot between the rails.
As much fun as it is to have these, it must be a real pain in the butt sometimes for people to drive around with them in the middle of the road. Especially people who may not be familiar with city traffic.
Hi please tell me this location California between which street in San Francisco thank
Action Kid: are these all electric powered? No overhead power wires that I can detect.
Where are the cars?
Go there in NOV.
А зимой вообще холодно ездить!
