For those who dont understand access control in lifts you should always have one level thats free and doesnt require swipe access in the event of an emergency
That glass doors can be big pain sometimes , as they often have Abloys , but going under doors can open them as piece of cake. I also think that unprotected area is left in case of fire hazard or similar , as glass can't be broken with hammer or similar heavy tools.
Oh woh… your fire service is done very differently than here in the US. Here you need to activate fire service both in the hall and in the elevator. Also lock smiths can’t use fire service
I take it this is a European style key? All the stores results have a UK domain. So I guess I don't need to add it to my PenTesting collection, since I'm in the US.
I think the manufacturers of a lot of lift components are European made, I may be wrong, but that may explain the choice of keys. They tend to be standardised in this way, in the U.K. a lot of lifts use one of a small selection of possible keys used for lifts.

As for elevator locks , check elevator manufacturer and building and safety regulations , this is where Your answer regarding keys is. :)
