People skip past an important loophole in this episode. When the source attacks Phoebe he says “your power was always the weakest, not worth taking your life”. The writers did this for a reason because the second half of the season would feature a lot of “the seer” who essentially planned and plot his demise so she could become the source of all evil herself, ignoring the importance of the gift of sight got the Source killed. He didn’t even bother going after Phoebe power with the Hallow, had he did he would’ve seen The Seer plotting his demise. people think premonitions and the gift of seeing isn’t important because It’s a passive power, but when coveted and grown correctly we know that to be incorrect. Look how powerful the seer was, she had her powers for centuries and was able to project visions to others that hadn’t even happened. in the future we seen how powerful Phoebe gift had become to the point that she could kill by focusing energy and memories to a person’s consciousness.Charmed ones only had their power for 8 years, imagine the things Phoebe could’ve done with her powers, at some point even sending demons visual attacks mid fight, probably projecting illusions to them. By season 8 all the girls learned how to Astral project, imagine Phoebe astral projecting mid fight and attacking a demons mind with her empath/visions. In the beginning of the series it’s said that visions are one of the most sought power, when Zankou attacked in the future It was Phoebe power he wanted the most. While I wish the fight between the source and charmed ones were a little more dramatic, charmed viewers tend to overlook this important detail in the writing, also disqualifying premonitions as insignificant
Funny when they both say “What” after Cole’s whistle 😗. Ancestral Magic has got to b within a Top 10 of powerful types of magic. Just needs to pick and name out the rest.
@sifilore9462 True. Ancestral Magic actually can to of powerful types of magic. And the spell against The Source Of All Evil that Phoebe created with Cole is definitely irrefutable proof of this.
Phoebe had that premonition because of her love for cole however, he wasn’t in any danger. After that her powers kept getting blocked by the source until he left his guard down when she got pregnant.
Cole wasn't safe though. Her premonition warned her about the Source and Cole. Cole was in absolute danger cause this is when he essentially dies becoming the Source.
Just wondering. But can anyone else see the camera equipment, (I think it looks like a mic) at 0:40, when Phoebe is talking, in the mirror to her left? Or am I just seeing things. 😂
And I’ve got to say this, I think the writers did Cole dirty. All that character development towards redemption and they turn him evil again just like that, made for great drama but at the same time it’s lazy writing.
How exactly is It lazy? Cole was born half human, half demon, all he known was to have powers, when he gave up his powers for love, he still had a gaping emptiness inside him that couldn’t be filled by human nature. I think It was actually very intentional writing. The void inside him filled with the source, the battle between good and evil, the same battle Phoebe had because she was born under the Nexus and evil in her past life. going to the demonic waste land collecting powers. Reemerging as invincible, how is that lazy lol
I agree. It was great drama but this show is limited by 90's early 2000's writing. Cole's story could've went a different way, if written a touch better. It would've been more interesting, imo, if the show really focused more on his struggles with humanity. It was written kinda throwaway and for the sake of plot, everyone else was written as deer in headlights when obvious issue with Cole started to emerge. Cole never truly got a chance at redemption, hence his limbo status. Also I'm convinced that the human side of Cole died and what actually came back was demonic side but he still retained his memories and love for Phoebe because after awhile his love became warped like Alec in season 1 with Daisy.
I still feel that the writers/producers, rushed the vanquish of the source just to keep the audience interested in the serie after shannen's departure from the show. This could've easily been the season finale.
The Source has always been around. It’s an essence that combines with a demon to become the ruler of the Underworld. The Charmed Ones were on his radar since the first season but didn’t become a prominent figure until the end of Season 3 when Prue was successfully killed by Shax. It was always the Charmed Ones destiny to vanquish him and they succeeded.
They are the charmed ones, they were prophesied years before their own birth to be powerful witches, more powerful than any other witches in the world, more powerful than their own ancestors. The source had multiple oracles and seers who could see into the future, they’ve always been on his radar like someone else said
I believe the underworld aware of the charmed ones forecoming but did not take them seriously because most of witches and warlocks are not powerful enough to challenge them. So when the sisters did receive their powers and subsequently the high ranking demons gets wiped out by sisters by the time in season 3 (eg. Tempus, Litvack, etc). thats when the sisters started to be under the sources radar. Since they might be the only ones could cripple the underworld’s hierarchy to the point the evil could not gain the upperhand
@@COSMICCFREQUENCY144 but they weren’t prophesies to go to war with the source. That’s the plot of the reboot. I’m asking at what point did the source decide to specifically go to war with them?
