@@monkeyrobotsinc.9875 actually the music is good but this is not a 2d Mario game which has the cheerful music on the first level. Most 3d Mario games these days have a more adventurous theme at the first level.
I don't understand why people don't like Super Mario Sunshine. Sure it has it's problems and I'll never want to 100% it again, but it's still a fantastic game!
Unadulterated gaming goodness!!! Platforming at its finest for sure. So glad I experienced these two fun games!! My buddy was playing Gears Of War at the time Galaxy came out and I had way more fun with this game game than Gears.
I've been a fan of Replay for years now and I love it! It's great how much fun you all have looking at older games. However, I feel that with the release of a new generation, the essence of Replay is being altered by your decision to play very recent games. Replay games should probably be gated by release date, not which generation it came out. For example, if games only 10 years or older are played, a sense of nostalgia can be retained. Picking games that came out 6 or less years ago doesn't really capture the wonder of observing archaic game design and reminiscence. It's not a big deal, haha. I just wanted to express a potential concern going forward. Keep up your engagement with the community! You're one of the more sincere game publications around.
They mentioned an altered beast replay and another one that was coop(already watched dynamite cop) but i can't seem to find em on here, you guys by chance know?
Joe: "nintendo games are super polished. you never hear of broken mario or zelda games..." you should watch the zelda speed runs, especially Ocarina of Time, Joe.
joe is right, you have to really go out of your way to find the kind of exploits they use in speed runs, these games are without equal when it comes to polish
You guys should do a replay on Extermination. It was Sonys attempt to create a new survival horror franchise on the PS2 just post launch. Needless to say it failed, but the game is real campy and actually not horrible.
This is the best platformer ever made, without question. And definitely one of the top 10 best games ever made. I do not believe Nintendo will ever make a Mario-platformer as good as this one again - unfortunately.
I kinda have to agree with Tim on the state of Sonic. I think the games are just completely overrated. Adventure's a buggy mess even if it's kind of fun. Doesn't exactly age terribly well either. Same deal with Adventure 2. Honestly, the only Sonic game I would say was really good was Generations. But it was a whopping 3 hours long. Then they go and mess up again with Lost World. Ohhhhh Sonic Team. You silly billies.
honestly mario sunshine felt mediocre to me, mainly becasue of the water/jet pack it never felt fun to use in my opinion.... and it had good levels and bad, where as mario 64 never had "bad" levels , again imo
Super Mario Galaxy has some of the best orchestrated music I've ever heard!
nah. dont encourage them. its garbage. it doesnt sound anything like mario or nintendo music. like all the music they ruined with zelda. it sucks.

When they brought up inventory management, all I could think of was the possibility of another Super Mario RPG...
That would be wonderful.

Mainly because it's so different from the usual Mario game, like how Wind Waker's art style was so different from the usual Zelda.
True, even though it's different, it still is high quality.

Jungle Beat is highly underrated. It's just unfiltered, simple fun.
About those star bits. There is actually a Japanese candy called Konpeitō that star bits are based on. So you kinda can eat them.
The Star Bits are actually supposed to look like a popular style of sweet in Japan, so it's no mistake that they look tasty.
I wonder how well Star Bits candy would've sold here :)

32:30 IT'S GANON!
God damn the music in this game is so fantastic
no. its not.
@@monkeyrobotsinc.9875 Man your taste in music and games sucks.
Real fun episode keep it up

They have this website called gameinformer.com where they upload all their content

what do speed runs have to do with a game being broken? Maybe you're referring to the fact there are aspects of the game that can be exploited?
joe is right, you have to really go out of your way to find the kind of exploits they use in speed runs, these games are without equal when it comes to polish
Those don't make the games broken though

Anybody knows if theres any video of them playing with the band Powerglove, and where to find it? o.O
Yeah, there is a replay with Tim playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl with Powerglove. You should find it on the replay hub on gameinformer.com
Should we count this as the start of replay season 3 lol
