Hi there, thx for your upload. I was in wanderlust for Japan already, as my last visit was, hach one cannot find just one word sufficing every emotion, but now, NOW I think of going there for more than just a month as last time. thx for the appealing presentation.
I’ve been thinking of walking the henro trail for a while now, but I’m afraid it’ll be too much for me. I’m from the Netherlands so there are no hills - let alone mountains - for me to practice. How long did it take you to prepare for this trip?
Hi, yea you need to do some climbing here and there. Honestly this was my first long walk and I had no preparation, just deciding on the dates was the hard part. I can tell you that about the first 4 days will be very tiring but you will notice that the body starts to adjust and the walk will be more enjoyable. The one thing I want to stress the most is to go as light as possible. You don't need a lot of things after all.
So you mean the 鳥居? If that's what you mean, it was near the 入野 beach. It's not particularly a part the trail but took that shot while I was staying around that area.
Love your video. Can you pls let me know what program you created it in ? I would love to create my own from the 2 pilgrimages I did. I walked the 6 day Nakahechi Kumano Kodo 3 years ago and the 500 mile Camino Santiago...and no, I'm not a very "hikey" person...just in shape and inspired to do these 2 unbeknown to me... Thinking about the Shikoku or trying a different Kumano Kodo route.

It will be a great experience! Enjoy!
Walking this starting March 1, 2020 and cannot even wait. Looks incredible!
That's pretty close to the time of the year I went for it! It will be awesome!
David Gogh ya I literally am counting down already lol
@@raetast How far did you average each day to walk it in 39 days?
@@burds579 I would say about 30-35km per day. I took some deliberate detours here and there and the furthest walk in a day was like 47km.
@@raetast Also, how was the weather when you walked? What were average temperatures like?
Nice trip!

You don't need any training to do a long distance hike.
Beautifully done! How did you developed the progressive map and overlay it on the slide show?
Hi there, thanks! For the map I used the software called After Effects.
Tiene algo que me gustaría descubrir, y descubrir en mi
2:51 / 7:25 I have not been there after I've walked around 2 times. Where is this?

@@raetast You mean that the particular Tori-i locates off the Henro trail on the map. No wonder I've not seen it. But it's a great picture.
