There are pros and cons in trading the shorter time frames (15mins, 5mins, 1min). The pros is that you can ride the wave if the chart is moving sideways in the hourly chart. There seems to be nothing happening in the hourly chart but the lower time frames show that the candlesticks are actually moving up and down in a channel. You could be profitable in the lower time frames while the hourly chart says there is nothing to see here.
The cons is that when the chart is trending, you might not be able to maximize the profit because you went out of the trade too early.
The solution is, trade the lower time frame if the chart looks flat in the hourly chart but trade the longer time frames if the chart is trending.

kkkkkk.....u can never know when the market is going to consolidate till it has consolidated for sometime. when u get in u dont really know if it will continue to consolidated or thats the end. just play your strategy without making directional decisions......thank me later. the strategy should be able to determine where the stop and target will be. if your strategy doesnt know then you r gambling

I always tend to refer back to one of Rockefeller's principles. When there's panic in the Market and everyone wants to hold or sell off commodities, that's the best time to invest. Regardless that I have a managed portfolio,I learnt this strategy myself and still apply it.

so true about trading the 5 min I experienced massive emotional overload and of course lost all my trades. It is much easy to focus on trading the D1 H4. However, I just watched your 5 min scalping video and I am backtesting it now. So far while using this method emotions are not a problem her because the rules are set. I just need to follow them. Nice video, Personally trading forex isn't all about knowing the best time-frame for trading or having a good setup, Forex trading is a very profitable section of the financial market, and at the same time a very volatile part too, It simply all depends on how well you can read the signals/chart and also how experience you are in the financial market, that is why i do always advice a lot of people to get a trade manager that would at first trade on your behalf and by so doing also guide you how to follow that specific strategy in trading.

Great comments and suggestions. Do you believe that it's also important to suggest to check higher time frames to see market structure and movement, then to trade on a lower time frame? If recommending a Daily, check Monthly note or mark up movement, check Weekly, verify notes and mark ups, then verify Daily is confirming your previous markups. Also, doing the same method, if you are trading on lower time frames. I see trading on one time frame as not only viewing one time frame, but several others at higher time frames as well.

You know the strategy where you view high time frames and then whatever the last candle color was on that you trade in the same direction on a lower frame? Well if the market did actually go in the same direction on low frames as high and most people used the same direction strategy then how could the higher time frames ever change direction? The direction starts at the lowest frame and gradually spreads upward. Logic suggests that you could more accurately predict higher frames based on the general consensus of all the lower frames than the other way around. Maybe that's why most traders lose day in day out. On the 1 minute you can just look at the last 24 hours worth and easily see the price trend of the day, last few hours, whatever you're interested in. I would just take note of the current market being bullish or bearish overall and base my trading bias on that while using the 1 minute for actual entry/exit cues.

using top-down multi time frames to trade, do you think it is good idea
for example as a swing trader (i) I use 1 week timeframe to get the long-term trend and enter my profit target, (ii) I use 1 day time timeframe to get the buy or sell signal and enter my stop loss position, and (iii) I use the 1 hour timeframe to enter the trade at the exact time
higher time frames allow the big picture of the trend, lower time frames allow the exact picture of an entry, since higher time frames have long term advantage over lower time frames and lower time frames have short term advantage over long term time frames, would't it be good to combine higher and lower time frames to do better swing trades, do you think it will work well
what are your thoughts of multi time frames trading, have you thought of this before

The timeframe you’re using doesn’t really matter but knowing market structure (when to buy/sell and when to exit the Market). You have to trade along with the trend during this time frame

What's your view on leveraged trading with higher TF? If you recommend 1D, then a lot of people will get liquidated within the day, based on default leverage provided by brokers e.g. 30:1.

The market works the same on all timeframes. The only reason these guys tell you to trade the higher timeframes is that it takes you longer to work out that their strategies don't work. If you really want to learn how to trade take a look at www.priceactionforextrading.co.uk/
