I’ve used a SOG Ninja pack for over ten years. $30 at Walmart and imho it’s the best bag out there for the money. It’s as tough as a maxpedition pack. It’s comfortable to wear. I took it on one or two night campouts one or two times every month for the first two or three years I had it. It’s a great pack. Mine now has my get-home kit and stays in the jeep. Weighs 21 pounds, and I could live out of it for a week if I needed to.
The Survivor Filter is maybe the best filter you can get. It only filters 1,000 gallons, but it filters down to 0.05 microns which is like 200 times better than the Lifestraw, and 20 times better than the Sawyer.
Good video James! I think these are great preparedness exercises for most people, even though the critics seem the loudest! I like that this made me question some of my process. Just found your channel and started following. Keep up the good work!
The tourniquet is one thing not to skimp on. Those cheap amazon copies really aren't good, and I'm sure someone will be really glad they saved $15 when they need it, and it breaks. Yes hopefully we never need one but if we do, have sufficient equipment, especially when it comes to medical. Money can be saved elsewhere if need be.
@@nickl3872At least you’re man enough to admit you’re a bag addict. I’m still working on the 3 step program. My wife said I have issues. “If you under stand you understand. If you don’t you don’t.” If only you guys saw my basement. Great video.

Get the metal windless tourniquet, I’ve broke those plastic ones
If it's a proper CAT tourniquet, it won't break.
You shouldn't bug out with a plate carrier.
