Thanks, what size is inside diameter of sleeve? what did you sand it down to to insure a tight fit but alow it to go on ? was it 0.05 difference?one parts supplier on Amazon instructs to cut the original sleeve off? I can not find any videos of anyone doing this? If the sleeve has grooves like mine it seems the new sleeve will not go on properly? Also seems the seal would have to be slightly larger>? because you are adding thickness a 2nd layer of metal ?

To cut off an old sleeve just carefully use a sharp cold chisel until it splits the ring (but don't go into the spindle)
