young guys arent getting played into the squad fast enough. Proctor should of featured much more in the rugby championship. He wont even get played vs Japan. That game will be used to blow out the cobwebs of the old dudes. Remember the good old days where the young talent like jonah and cullen debut vs france. We have lost that cycle now because the coaches keep tutrtle heading. Proctor at his age, should well into the squad already. If you think its not unreasonable for a good all blaks to see two world cups and peak late 20s to early 30s then they need a couple of years under their belt prior to world cup then you need guys 22-24 to be in the abs, two years minimum , that takes them to 24-26 and their first cup. Next cup they are 28-30, two more years guiding the new young guys .
I think returning to touring over playing a full Rugby Championship will be a good thing. Tour matches are a good opportunity to give these young guys minutes. Realistically, a tour match against provincial teams should be played midweek. More games the better
With the quality of the opposition being exponentially better, there's not a lot of room for experimentation. Probably see the newer players after Super 25.
This is a damn tough tour and will be good to see this years squad prove they've got the goods.
Besides the Fiji game which games in the RC would you have played Proctor in?
@@jamescooper-hope6930 this years squad is literally the squad from yester year with a new front row , sititi and ratima. The end. Should at least be 3-5 other new guys pushing into the squad by now.

As far as the tests go, I stand by my previous predictions:
Japan and Italy will be comfortable victories.
England will be tight, but I think the ABs win.
Ireland haven’t lost in Dublin in years and I think they’ll beat the ABs.
France….. god only knows. France are back to being wildly unpredictable and I am here for it😂
Personally I would have prefered not picking Cane & Perenara - we need to build for the next World Cup & these matches are stepping stones towards that so maybe some new guys need to get the minutes under their belt at the top level. Seeing as Razor has decided to take them I hope he has them on the bench for the games rather than first choice. At the end of the day though I'm on my couch & he's at the business end of it so what he thinks counts & I imagine the powers that be want positive results from him.
Sititi, Finau, Tosi, Love, Proctor, Darry, and Ratima and Roigard. So that's eight new guys. Add in Perofeta, so that's nine relative newcomers. I feel that's a good number. Next year, Lakai, Hotham, maybe even Sotutu and Cam Millar.
The Razor Project rolls on.
Finau & Roigaard were there last year, Perofeta too. Love & I think Proctor were in the NZ 15 last northern tour too so not super duper new.
@@JimmyKip my view is having less than five test caps is a newbie. Proctor has one cap. Roigard three.
And the Naki number 10 Jacomb.
Holland soon.
Love your channel bro I’m just beginning my channel and its awesome to see other rugby channels are on the same journey. Go the All Blacks 😊
Excited for the XV team
Should be loads of bolters man
Well, thanks to Razor we know Hotham is in it, and Christie too as an experienced hand. Guess we'll know the rest tomorrow.
@@ΝΖΚ no doubt… gonna be some good quality in that team and exciting players in form like Higgins
With Jordie on field WE WILL LOOSE AGAINST JAPAN AND ITALY, BUT THEN PEOPLE WILL BLAME SOME THING ELSE. I never use to fear for records againt AB BUT NOW IM JUST WAITING THE BARRETTE EXP TO, HOSKINS AI SHAME
Homestly wouldn't be surprised if 1 player from the XV got an AB cap in the Italy game. Darry originally was injury cover, but Razor was impressed by him and gave him gametime in the Fiji test anyway.
I'm not so worried about England, Ireland & France - playing them at home with our form this year we should probably be significant under dogs anyway. What scares me is having to then back up those 3 tests where we could lose all of them and have to play Italy, knackered, maybe injured, as the last match of the year.
You're worried about the wrong thing, I think. Time will tell
Hence the numbers, I guess. Tough tour either way.
😒😒
It's an ok side. Useful even. THe AB15 team had better have some of the guys who are knocking on the door - interested to see how they go.
Disappointed to see TJ and Cane still in. We need to build for the future!
Tell that to Razor. He is like a Rabbit in the headlights.
Need a depth chart video as per my comment in another vid. The ABs depth chart must be like downright skeletal right now.
Well, they don't seem interested in building one. Why take Ofa as third choice when they could have a closer look at Numia? These guys seem to think that their precious touring NZ XV squad is actually a thing.
Hell no I would heartily disagree and young guys coming are killer that 15 team went well in 22 they will go good again
@@W_Misumzi Numia is killer huge improver will get game time in 15 team expect seeing him there next year if stays injury free
The thing is, if you blood newbies now they'll get little game time. Whereas if they get put in the AB XVs, they'll likely get more game time
@@W_Misumzi Ofa is way past it.Seems its harder to get out of the ABs than get in.
Fantastic news about Fabian Holland being available a year early.
Cane I’m ok with as IMO he is still our best No 7, but TJ is lucky. I guess with Cam returning they needed extra experience cover, but you’d like to think he is behind both other half backs.
Cane had back to back shockers vs the Wallabies? How is he our best 7 lmao
I am picking a lack-lustre performance against England by TJ will spell the end of his international career.
Cane is great at getting red cards in crucial games and missing tackles that lead to tries shouldve been gone a long time ago not the best 7 at all
I’m getting used to unadventurous selections with what is turning out to be a very conservative coaching group and selection panel. This tour doesn’t matter in the scheme of things so roll the dice ffs
I couldn't get tickets for the Ireland game. Sold out pretty fast. I'd hope it's going to be a tough and entertaining game like the last few meetings between them.
Love the rivalry between these sides in recent years man!
Solid squad good depth maybe lacking a bit of excitement but if they execute could finish on a high an win all 5 NZ 15 boys will be there to fill gaps if needed
Cant believe Razor has selected TJ and Pooh bear.both will be gone next year.Grow a set man.
Whose pooh bear?
We have problems at 10 12 and 13 wings and fullbacks all of them
Ooh, am i first for once?
Only surpise for me is TJ, but as u say, guess they really want Hotham getting minutes for NZ B... Do we have to call them the ABs xv? Like, how far are they gonna take that branding?
Looks like you are indeed first! But yeah it might make sense for Hotham to get a full run for the XV than not much for the ABs
The whole "AB" tag I think you will find, has something to do with the Adidas contract, but yes, it's ridiculous that "All Blacks" is getting attatched to all the male squads. If anything is ruining the brand, its that
@@TwoCentsRugbyYeah, but he didn't get minutes because of them deviating from their vision because of a fear of losing. Ratima already proved that new talent doesn't equal losing, but they shook in their boots and kept on with their conservative approach.
The older guys at first five-eights are beginning to slow down. Bring in some young talent. My pick would be Reihana. He is ready to play at this level.
Jacomb from the Naki is very prommising.
Pretty disappointing to be honest. A lack of insight and planning for the future. They don't need to win all their games over there. Could have blooded the likes of Lakai, Riccitelli and Hotham and tested out some new wingers since we have such depth in that position. Cane and Perenara are well past their best and should have already passed on their knowledge to younger players in the RC. Doesn't make any sense. Tu ungafasi is just an empty slot at the moment. Hes using up a place in the team. Both Papal''i and Jacboson need a kick up the ass . Those guys have had plenty of chances now and need be pushed by someone coming through.
Steady as she goes, indeed.
Not much sense in not developing newer/younger backs at test level. Opportunity cost 😢
Best, Dr Ropata MD Rx - Acting Head Janitor, SS DHB
I would not be taking cane and TJ. FFS razor.
Why not?
Blood the youth Razor ffs🤦♂️
I know that the ABs actually believe that they have time before the next WC and that they need Cane and TJ right now.
Can simeone pull up numbers that prove that the two guys who will not be eligibile come the end of the year have contributed to more wins in 2024 than their so-called understudies...just the numbers and not excuses attached to them.
I do not and will not believe that these are anything more than sentimental selections voted voted for by senior players who have annoyingly come to accept the current rugby landscape.
Lakai should already be a project and there are minutes for him on the tour...Hotham should be there. Ofa as third choice behind EDG and Tamz, really? Why not just have a look at Numia and decide on his work-ons after that? And no, the XV is not an excuse or consolation prize. That farce of a setup even snubbed Sotutu and I wish they do that again. The guy deserves better. Especially after we all saw that guys like Finau get kept around after false starts.
Clearly you never watched last weekend's NPC. Hotham was awful under pressure, he's still too green
razor is disappointing hes doing exactly what fozzie did picking favourites over the best namely Crusaders players
Silly comment.
If rather have Tavanawai instead of David havili
Building depth is a luxury you can only afford if you've been winning a lot. It is shortsighted though, but it seems like the AB fans and media won't allow for anything else
Apart from the world cup SA record aint that flash but they built depth.
Cane had back to back shockers in the last 2 games. And TJ has been lretty poor all year. I would have taken Lakai and Funaki over them. Watch Hoskins miss out on the ab xvs this year too lol
Wonder when Love gonna get a go
Getting really sick of Razors selections, don't think he has a f'in clue what he's doing
He doesn't give a 💩 what you think
Five Tests that's Insane. Player welfare???????
I don't think they'll win all the test this Nov
Five tests! Why so many dude?
$$$$
Yep five tests, but just watch them struggling to rotate their squad
The england test is outside the regular calendar id say.
