Omg Stuart Williams I had no idea that was you with Billy at spare time lanes in Arlington that sold me the idol Thursday. Wow I wish I woulda know I have soo many questions
Since you said that wouldn't be the layout you would choose to play straighter, would you change it to be a shorter pin to pap or a longer pin buffer...or both?
Stu, I tend to have balls that are 4.5" or less pin to PAP. I wouldn't think to try something 5 5/8... I'm like upper 300's rev rate, about 19 mph off my hand (probably read 16.5 mph on the console)...I understand you're trying to not have stuff overreact on sport, but what kind of bowlers generally benefit from having Pin to PAP that far apart?
Beeeeeeeef 💪🏾💪🏾👀🍿 question when bowling league and bowling a part of the lane by yourself (like in the video) how often are you actually moving and how much? I tend not to move until I miss or get away with a hit 🤦🏾
Gives me more flexibility with my hand. I find the hardest thing to combat is balls burning up, if weaker pin, can use speed to make them hook more or less
Isn’t the PBA rule just based on a manufacturing date? Why not keep manufacturing the original Idol then? The Phaze 2 released in 2016 and is still produced today.
The Idol was discontinued long before the PBA rule that changed how long a ball can be used were made. The new rule may give manufacturers more incentive to keep balls around that are popular with touring players, but I doubt they'll keep a ball in production if it isn't selling.
Stu I LOVE you but the remark about "in purpose seems a bit far fetched MAYBE he was maybe you hand encountered him and he was rude or off putting. But us tradies have deadlines and time is money. He more realistically just doesn't give a shizz more than being "cheeky" and being loud on purpose. Like I said idk I wasn't there also maybe YOU were joking and being cheeky. Anyway love y'all great bowling. Just be easy on the trades men his knees probably hurt 😂
Look at stu knowing more than the primary colors. "Magenta. Lilac."

First view and like! Mine came in yesterday I think 😀
Nice one Stu! Another TH-cam honors score! 🏆 The Optimum Idol looks great!
Thank you kindly
Wish you'd have brought the Phaze II. We wanna see that comparison just as much as the original. Great review, as always.
Check out Chris version of the review
Absolute hammer review! Nailed it. :P
Talent + walled up china + new ball carry = God Stu. Well done mate!
Also you can bring the original Idol to the USBC Masters.
Dude! You're a beast and made it easy for me to make a decision on getting this ball, along with the Summit Peak. Thanks
Glad I could help!
Let’s go! Nice review Stu!

I dont even know Stu but I was really rooting for 300! Great work dude.
Only bowler on the planet that casually bowls 300 at will during practice 😂
Congratulations on the 300😀🎳
I'm a big advocate of balls that make circles, this ball makes a circle!
Since you said that wouldn't be the layout you would choose to play straighter, would you change it to be a shorter pin to pap or a longer pin buffer...or both?
I would use similar buffer but stronger pin, to make ball pick up sooner. If you really want it to tumble you can go with shorter buffer
Ohhhhh stop it….😅
Just love to watch ya bowl Sir….🙏🙏👏👏😅😅
You. Are. A. Bowling. Machine!!!

Good question, if I’m bowling by myself on 1 lane, I’m probably moving a little bit every other frame
@BeefandBarnzy noted and thanks!
Wow shot a 300 with all that noise in the background!
Mic was obviously more sensitive than my ears!
Me and Vinny bowled one baker game my Harsh Reality and his freshly drilled Optimum Idol and bowled 224.
Congrats🎉
I notice you always have really long pin positions on your equipment. Any particular reason your pins are so long?
Gives me more flexibility with my hand. I find the hardest thing to combat is balls burning up, if weaker pin, can use speed to make them hook more or less
Are Optimum and Phaze II too close? Shiny Phaze Ii?
Changing the surface and Phaze 2 would definitely separate them more. Might be tough for both in a 6 ball arsenal otherwise
Hey Stu or barnzy what would you put in the bag sublime or new idol
I think both compliment each other well. Depends what other balls you have
Hey Stu, how does it compare to the Absolute Power?
Picks up sooner than power. Smoother for sure
Idol is earlier and smoother. Think power
Might hook more boards on house shot though
What surface were those at?
Box
House shot 🤴
You know it lol
Thoughts on drilling pin down?
I don’t really like drilling symmetrical balls with the pin down. I track pretty high.
how does it compare to the helio?
It’s strikes more for me!! Definitely stronger for me, more overall hook
Lilac balls always strike
This one definitely does!
How does it compare to phase ll
Little earlier and smoother I think. See Chris review, think he compares phase 2 also
Great 300

I was 100% laughing about it. The guy was totally oblivious to be bowling, and I wasn’t worried at all.
Another floor dumper thinking a perfect game means something.
Not clliffed, to fast with feet.
